Neoseeker showing illegal adds |
|
Well, recently I've just noticed, that by JaGEx's standard, Neoseeker is showing quite a few add's that JaGEx considers illegal. -------------------

Yeah i've noticed quite few as well ; "Cheape runescape gold delivery 24/7!!!1". I'm not sure if this forum will be shut down because of this problem but somebody should definetely do something about it before it does.

Those same adds are on the Runescape website as well. So I highly doubt Neo has any concern when they themselves sport the adds. -------------------

Neoseeker can't get shut down for getting paid to advertise something which another website classifies as illegal. ------------------- ![]()

Not to mention that both Runescape and Neoseeker use google ads. Which picks ad's based on the content of the page and then you have your add. it just happens that the gold sites are fairly popular when it comes to runescape searches. -------------------

I think you can report the ads to someone on neoseeker, if i remeber right. Either way, every fan site shows those ads and they haven't closed down yet. All Jagex says is to boycot those sites, they don't have the power to close down a site just because they say that selling gold is illegal. ------------------- ![]() ![]() Jeff Gordon will win the 2008 Sprint Cup.

Actually, I'm pretty sure JaGEx would have the power to shut down such a site. -------------------

I can't help but laugh when I see a gold buying advertisement on the RuneScape website. But Neoseeker can't be controlled by JaGeX in anyway, unlike the 3rd Party software so its not a problem. คภเ๓є -------------------

if neoseeker was concerned about something like that, they probably wouldn't put the adds on the website.

On a side note, I was wondering where I could get an ad blocker. My computer is running slow because of the billion+ ads on some pages I go to. ------------------- Soon, it begins...
