re: What is this for?

The main problem is that people are still using their old threads - this subforum was meant to render them useless, so it sends out contradicting messages when people see ten page plus threads still being used. While it wouldn't be good to enforce the current system (ie, locking those threads), maybe someone can have a quick word with those still using them.

The idea is thus; got a new piece of art (or several around the same time) you want to show? Create a new thread in the main forum to show people.

When you build up a collection of images that you would like to showcase, create a new thread in the subforum to act as a personal gallery. This allows people to view your best work without having to search for all the threads in the main forum (which will get lost in the back pages after a while).

If you want to comment on other peoples' pieces you see here in the subforum, typically a link will be provided by the artist to the relevant thread in the main forum. This forum is simply for showcasing work.

re: What is this for?

Me and Serenity are trying mostly hard as well as Griff and XDragon69 as what I've seen so far helping enforce this new change going on. Helping others that know nothing about what's going on is what we're here for (?). And by that, I agree with Req, we should notify those who are still using their art threads.

re: What is this for?

One thing I don't understand is, how you get the pictures to be so small? (the link to a bigger size of the original drawing!)

re: What is this for?

Just use a graphics program (even paint will do) and take a small selection from your drawing. Save this as a seperate file and upload it to be used as an image link.

re: What is this for?

Or (This is is you have a scanner) if your pic is too big and want some parts in it, scan it, make a square/rectangle box around a large portion and make it smaller, like this

The number inside the red tells how big it would really be, but I lowered the number inside the green so that all of that selected area will be 53x53 pixels. I don't know but ya'lls are probably different, and some of you probably have webcams.

  • I'm not sure what you mean by this question, but hopefully there are a few examples up that might help you out, or you can restate it and I'll see if I can help you out...
  • Oh, I was talking about what I thought this would turn out, the other way. The sub-forum would be used for single threads of each pic and the main forum would, well, you know.

    re: What is this for?

If anyone needs help with making thumbnails or host there are many members including myself that can help with that. ^^

Also I started sending out letters to a few people to let them know about the new system. I just have a hard time explaining myself sometimes, so I hope they worked.

I'm sure your threats of violence will do the trick, Katie ;p

To link one picture to another, you need to type this Neoseeker code:

    code
    [img link=Large picture URL]Thumbnail URL[/img]

    Example:

    code
    [img link=http://se7enreq.multimania.com/Images/Rhino.jpg]http://se7enreq.multimania.com/Thumbs/RhinoT.jpg[/img]

Here is what it should look like using your URL info.

    code
    [img link=http://www.tegnebordet.dk/arkiv/2886-8953-sadgirl3.jpg]http://www.tegnebordet.dk/arkiv/th//2886-8953-sadgirl3.jpg-100[/img]

    Appears as.

Go ahead and copy paste the code, hope that clears everything up.

Are you saying you want to move all your art from Art Central to Artist's Gallery? Sure, if you want to. Artist's Gallery is just like a portfolio of your art for people to look at. It's kinda like a museum of your collection.

    re: What is this for?

Waitwaitwait. Do we HAVE to make a thread for each picture we post in these? Cuz that would be really annoying, but meh. If we have to, we have to.
