Decided to try the zoom on my camera so I could see if I was able to catch a bird on my patio rain gauge or not, and this was the result.

These last two are a couple of pics of me taken on Tuesday. Took a couple of poses to see which one looks better.

I went to the President Obama town hall ticket lineup at the fairgrounds here, which was just a short bike ride away. Got a few pictures to share. Forgot I had these, which is why they are so late :

Here are some of the pictures that I took from the Orange County Marathon this past weekend (which was coincidentally right outside my front door just about ):

Here, the runners came west bound down the right hand lane, did a U-turn; then ran back towards where they came from in the east-bound lane.

See the kid with the green cape above? It might look silly, but skip down a few pics and you will see what that was all about.




In both this pic and the next; the people with green capes on are running to help support those people who have Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. Approximately 75 of the 2,000 plus runners in this year's marathon ran to help support this cause. (sources: ocregister.com, latimes.com, cbs2.com)




The guy in the blue jacket who looks like he is taking a picture ... really was taking a picture, I found out (at first I thought he was a neighborhood resident). Turns out the guy was a reporter for the ocregister.com print version of the news paper.
