Archangel is pretty cool, I'd have never thought me as him before now, though.
I'd have probably gone for Cyclops maybe...?

re: MARVEL

A mutant police force, he patrolled the streets of a war-torn future to keep his own kind in check. Now, he finds himself stranded in our present, fighting alongside the X-Men, a team whose members he once revered as idols. Standing in defence of those who hate and fear him, he is Bishop, Soldier of the Atom!

Alright, Bishops one of my faves!

Hm, maybe everyone's results of this could be it's own thread, or their opinions of the results.

Does anyone besides me remember the series Sleepwalker? It was a rather decent series published by Marvel in the early '90s. It focused on a very powerful hero from a dream dimension who entered our world when this college student who was bonded to him slept.

re: MARVEL

I was wondering if anyone follows deadpool/agent x here? I dont follow comics much and I was wondering if there is a reliable source of news for comics. First they were going to cancel agent x, then he's got three more issues, then deadpool is coming back. I hope they bring deadpool back, he is an awesome character. Anyways, just wondering if anyone wanted to discuss?

Me and MacPhisto are Deadpool fans. He's a great character, I just wish I could actually find some of his comics at my local stores, ah well, hopefully if they start the series up again then I can grab a few

re: MARVEL

with the exception of issues 4 and I think 46 I have the complete run, the two miniseries put out before that, and all the agent x issues so far. I think it hasnt been that great for awhile. agent x was getting good, then they had someone else do a few issues of it that massacred it. The three issue wrap up will be by the people that started on agent x, so I'm hoping they straighten it out. I'm really hoping they bring back deadpool though.

re: MARVEL

Well I'm still sticking to my guns that the best Deadpool comics were the two mini series by Mark Waid and Ian Churchill. The second one had Deadpool take on the Juggernaught and Black Tom Cassidy.

I wasn't to crazy about the replacing Deadpool with Agent X. I haven't kept up with the Agent X series much, but is it possible that he's really Deadpool?

Ah, crap Soldier X (Cable) is ending with issue 12.

But just remember Deadpool belongs more in the X-Men thread.

re: MARVEL

I tried talking about deadpool in the x-men thread, nothing happened. Why does he belong there, he has almost nothing to do with the x-men. He picks a fight with wolverine in one episode, but thats about it really. I love the humor in the ongoing series. Kelly had a good feel for deadpools humor, and gave him a direction. When priest took over, I dont think he had as much direction for deadpool, but I have never laughed as hard. The answer to your first question is shaddup. The answer to your second question... Anyways, I dont think agent x is deadpool, outlaw noticed that agent x has incredible aim with any weapon, where deadpool wasnt that good. I saw one theory where the black swan was agent x, because deadpool invaded his mind right before they both blew up, maybe giving black swan his healing power. Well with the three issue extention we are supposed to find alot of that out. And maybe get deadpool back!

re: MARVEL

Well Deadpool belongs with X-Men because (IMHO)

1. He appears in X-Men related publications
2. He was part of the Weapon X program
3. His series falls under the jurisdiction of the X-Men and related series editorial staff
4. He was first introduced in New Mutants and was a recurring character in X-Force.

re: MARVEL

First off, I'm not trying to pick a fight.

that being said, it seems to me that most of the marvel characters be under x-men according to your guidelines. what marvel character hasnt been in x-men related publications? Seriously, I'm curious. I would think that most characters have been worked in with the x-men at some point or other. I thought the x-men forum was for more hard core x-men chat, and so people would not want questionable characters like deadpool to intrude on their discussions

re: MARVEL

Appears in X-Men related publications meaning as a supporting character. While characters all across the Marvel Universe interact regularly the X-Men and related spinoffs and characters predominantly keep to there own corner of the Marvel Universe.

Characters in the Marvel Universe who very seldom or never interact with the X-Men and related characters are numerous. Some examples are Black Panther, Inhumans, Falcon, Nomad, Darkhawk, Guardians of the Galaxy, New Warriors, Doctor Strange, Namor, Silver Surfer, Iron Fist, Shang Chi, Moon Knight, Man Thing, Foolkiller, The Original Human Torch, Jocasta, Machine Man, War Machine, US Agent, Thunderstrike, Cardiac, Nighthawk, The Squadron Supreme, and I could easily list many more.

I am not trying to be confrontational in any way. I am merely pointing out that Deadpool shares more concepts, themes, background, and history with the X-Men related series then the general Marvel Universe.

If you or anyone else wish to discuss Deadpool the X-Men thread is a more appropriate and dedicated location for such discussion.

Instead if you feel that Deadpool should have his own thread than by all means start one. Just bear in mind that discussion of Deadpool will more likely (and logically in my mind at least) occur in the X-Men thread because of the character's background with the Weapon X Program, longstanding rivalry with Cable and other members from X-Force and the Six Pack, and his long association with Cable's son as his enforcer. If you wish to discuss Deadpool in this thread then that is also appropriate, but less so than the dedicated X-Men thread.

re: MARVEL

That is true, but then you also abandoned the Deadpool conversation yourself for a couple of days remember?

Anyway looks like it's probably time to start threads for Wolverine and Deadpool because it isn't like they are the only characters that Marvel produces.

Since this point touches on both Fantastic Four and Avengers I'll mention it here. The Avengers villain known as Kang the Conqueror who later becomes Immortus the MAster of Time is a descendant of Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.
