Joker is a DC character, and discussions of DC characters belong in the DC Universe thread. Speaking of which it really needs more visitors by the way.
Ok, here goes the long awaited Hawkeye bio.
Codename: Hawkeye (also formerly Goliath) Real Name: Clint Barton Affiliation: Avengers, Thunderbolts
Hawkeye is the mightiest marksman of the Marvel Universe. He is a long time Avenger and led the team of west coast Avengers for quite some time. After Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man left the Avengers for a period of time Hawkeye, who at this point was an established member, used Hank Pym's Pym Particle Growth Serum to become the colossal hero Goliath for a lengthy period of time. He quit being Goliath shortly after the Kree and Skrull War. Hawkeye started out as a criminal and henchman of the former KGB agent the Black Widow. During this time he encountered fought Iron Man but was shortly after set on the path of the hero. Hawkeye has been a longtime Avenger and has appeared in many of the Avengers comics. He was married to the now deceased Avenger, Mockingbird. Hawkeye learned archery in a circus from an archer named Trickshot. Hawkeye uses an arsenal of different arrow types which include everything from nets to explosives to sonics. He left the Avengers to lead and help reform the team of villains turned heroes called the Thunderbolts. Hawkeye became Goliath again during the war between the Shi'ar and the Kree in which the Shi'ar subjugated the Kree. He has been recently involved with the former villain Karla Sofen aka Moonstone of the Thunderbolts.
Well there's the Hawkeye bio. Anyone who wants other Marvel Universe bios or chronologies just post a request.
The quickest and cheapest way to get up to speed on a Marvel comic series is through the many Essential graphic novels published by Marvel. The title of these are for example Essential Avengers Volume One. Each of these run about 528 pages which is around 25 reprinted issues on average and are printed in black and white. The retail on each volume is about $14.95, and I highly reccomend them for some excellent reading of your favorite Marvel characters.

I've updated my 1st post but I'll do it here also. There is a separate thread for DC related topics. It can be found here. Thanks.
About Hawkeye....so he doesn't actually have any super powers? He just trains really hard. (Excluding the Goliath part)

Hawkeye has no super powers whatsoever except for the two periods of time when he used Pym's growth serum and became Goliath. Then his physical strength rivaled that of Iron Man or Hercules. He is an excellent marksman, tactician, and hand to hand fighter. Captain America taught him hand to hand combat so it's safe to say Hawkeye is quite formidable without his bow and arrows.

I'm pretty sure Captain America has an adamantium skeleton, but does he have the ability to heal like wolverine? Is Captain America's shield made of Adamantium? Does adamantium play any other important part in the Marvel universe? I am curious because I'm a fan of adamantium.

no we don't! I think Deadpool is Marvel because he ties in with some of Wolverines storylines, and he was created in the weopon X facility. MM will probably give u more accurate info than that! I don't think Caps shield is adamantium, it is made from an alloy that was accidentally created. In Secret Wars, it says it was the product of a freak metallurgical accident--- a metalic disc of unknown composition and unique properties---utterly impervious to any force or instrument humans comprehend. In Secret Wars it was actually broken, but by sheer force of will, Cap remade it.

Cap does not have an adamantium skeleton. His shield also does not have adamantium. The alloy for his shield incorporated vibranium but the exact nature of it's composition and manufacture was pretty much a one of a kind fluke.
Deadpool is a Marvel character and was a product of the Weapon X program. I guess the next bio I do will be Deadpool then.
As far as adamantium goes it was used to cover the skin of one of Wolverine's foes by the name of Cyber. Lady Deathstrike's father developed the adamantium bonding process used on Wolverine in the Weapon X program. The android Ultron one of the deadliest of the Avengers' foes used adamantium to make himself invincible ever since his he constructed his sixth body. Dr. Doom used a suit of adamantium armor in his series Doom 2099. The recent Marvel Boy series introduced super soldier characters who were patterned after Captain America and had adamantium skeletons; they could also undergo gamma radiation charged transformations similiar to that of the Hulk.
Sorry if I got cranky about not having DC in this discussion, but Marvel can be plenty confusing without mixing in DC, Image, Valiant, Dark Horse, or any of the other comic book companies universes into the mix.

About Cap As shield, it's supposed to be unbreakable by any means humanly imaginable. But in Secret Wars I it is broken in battle! Cap reforms it by sheer force of will, though, in the end.

Yeah, but wasn't it broken due to energy used by Doom after he had stolen the Beyonder's power. The fact that he reformed it by will, but not perfectly caused a destructive vibration in his shield's vibranium component which went on to deteriorate the shield and all other vibranium on Earth.

So what, doesn't Cap have a shield anymore? And what other vibranium components on Earth are there?

Well he had to use substitutes. One was a replica of his orginal triangular shield. Another one one was a variable form force shield built into one of his gloves similaiar to what US Agent used in the Force Works series, but this one was designed by SHIELD. He was able to pefectly reconstruct his shield with the inadvertent help of Klaw.
Some of the other things in Marvel which uses vibranium are the weaponry of the Black Panther, much of the technology of Wakanda, the Avengers's Quinjets, and some of the devices of Reed Richards and Dr. Doom.
