On a totally different topic, I read the Villains United TPB recently (return of Cat-Man, and Cheshire letting her evil side show through, woohoo) and thought it almost worked, and I've recently seen the first one of the ongoing series. So for anyone who's read it, is it going to suck as badly as I think it is?

I haven't read it. The only villian I recognize thus far is Deadshot. and I'm not that big a fan of him.

Like I said it's one of those stories that almost works, at least IMHO. No idea how they're going to carry it over into a regular comic though but I'm curious to see. The TPB was in my local big bookstore so I found a seat and read it, didn't buy it but Deadshot is actually pretty cool.

Deadshot's only a Deathstroke wannabe.

True, up to a point but in the TPB he's got this whole hitman ennui thing down really well, and he gets to put several bullets into one my least favourite villains. I wouldn't say it was worth buying but it's worth reading if you can do it for free.

And after reading Identity Crisis? He's a bit of a dipshit. I mean, he nearly killed himself in a Green Lantern construct bubble, the nimrod.

Can't say, I haven't read it yet and I never said he was smart did I

Oh. Well what happened was Green Lantern and some other dudes were bustin' Deadshot and some other random baddies, when Lantern traps him in a bubble. Deadshot goes to shoot his way out- after GL WARNED him that it won't work and he might hurt himself- bullet ricochets, and pops ol' Deadshot.

You did see what his purpose for that was, right? Getting his hands on GL.

Besides, dying really doesn't bother Deadshot much since he spent years on a team called Suicide Squad.

I admire a man who sticks to his opinions, but I still kind of like Deadshot. And for the record, I think he's more of a Bullseye wannabe.

Except he misses. Quite a bit.

Although there is one really cool scene I will vouch for him in. I have a Batman issue where he shot straight through Batman's batline. Nearly sent him plummeting right into the streets if it weren't for Bats doing some tricky walljumping.

Well, I did say he was a wannabe, he's never really had a defining moment though that I know of.

Yeah, case in point. He sucks.

Moving on... I'm curious to see how the next Batman/Superman comes out... I MUST SEE IT!

Speaking of which, in the current ish Bats has screwed up big time. He's apparently falling for Bekka. She's from New Genesis. That's not the problem. The problem is who she's married to... Orion.
