Anyways, I'm also pretty new to reading comics. I've just picked up the Daredevil series, and I love it so far. By the way, this is my first comics series I've read.

Are there any fans of The Darkness here? Not the band but the comic? If so I made a thread here to discuss it and the fact that it's being made into a game.

Been thinking of dropping Moon Knight off my monthly list and picking up Daredevil instead. My current monthlies are Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Moon Knight, Civil War, and Civil War: Frontline (although the latter two will end in a few weeks).

Thoughts? I considered Astonishing X-Men for a while, but I want everything to stick with the same universe, and from my understanding, Astonishing is kind of in their own, are they not? I'm also trying to stay away from the Ultimate series, same reason.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

In my opinion, Daredevil is a much better book than Moon Knight. Plus, with DD Brubaker is in for the long haul unlike Huston's planned 13 ish run for MK.

Astonishing X-Men is a great book and is in the regular Marvel Universe instead of their own. I'm not sure what you are thinking of there. However, it only has five more issues with the current team of Whedon and Cassady.

AMS I've been avoiding for some time due to JMS who is finally leaving.

X-Men and Uncanny are both solid books these days.

If you like Brubaker, you might want to check out Cap or Iron Fist (which he co-writes with Fraction who is writing Punisher: War Journal).

If you like obscure characters check out Heroes for Hire, Exiles, or the upcoming Omega Flight. Exiles is all about alternate realities so you might want to stay away, but it is a fun book.

Thunderbolts has renewed my interest with the first ish of the run by Ellis. Hulk has been an enjoyable book this past year. The upcoming Nova series looks promising. Ghost Rider has been okay, but Blade has been a disappointment.

X-Men and Uncanny X-Men have been "meh" lately... Not terrible, but not great either. The last issues of both have been good, but the few before that didn't hold my interest for long.

Astonishing IS in the same universe? I've been had...

As for DD, I'll probably drop Moon Knight, pick up the last TPB of DD (I've been hearing really good things about the story arc that just finished up, and really want to read those). Moon Knight has been very slow. Not to my liking. I kept telling myself "it'll get better, it'll get better," but it still hasn't. The last issue was supposed to be a Civil War tie-in. Indeed, it was nothing of the sort. Spidey was in it for like, 4 panels at the beginning, but had nothing to do with the war.

But yeah, I think I will switch over to DD. Thanks for the advice!

Is anyone reading the Ulimate clone saga?

I've looked at parts of it for Bagley's art.

It's had plenty of WTF?! and WTBBF?! moments (Jessica Drew and the BFM are prime examples) from what I have seen.

So I'm like 2 months behind on my comics so far >.< Just moved back home from being off at university, so I don't have any pull list here. Hopefully they have plenty of back issues when I scrounge up the cash.
