	Welcome to the Food & Cooking Forum Header and Footer Contest Well, the current header has been up in this forum for a long time now and I think it's time for something new! So here's a chance for our resident chefs to put down their knives and whisks and give their graphics skills a work out! Reminder !!! This isn't just a Header Contest, we are also picking a Footer Image as well. Even if you feel you have no graphic talent you can still show your forum spirit by encouraging others and by voting on the banner you think works best for this forum. Remember folks, this is your forum and this is your chance to have a part in how it looks. Here is how it is going to work: The contest starts... now. All banners must be submitted by 10pm (PST) on Monday, July 21st.. Which means you have 2 weeks for this project. Voting will then be open until 10pm (EST) Wednesday, July 23rd. to give folks more of an opportunity to cast their votes. The winning banner will be placed on Thursday, July 24th. ---- Rules: 1) This contest is open only to members of Neoseeker. 2) You do not need to sign up anywhere. Just post your entries. There is no limit on how many entries you may submit. ((Note: Any questions regarding this contest may also be posted here.)) 3) Header size must be no greater than 150 pixels high and 600 pixels wide. File-size is no longer allowed to be greater than 100 Kb. Any banner that is larger than that will be automatically disqualified. Any banner that violates Neoseeker Rules will also be immediately disqualified. A quick note on content: Please be careful of the imagery you choose. Now, I'm not saying you can't do something fun or playful, but let's try to not have a heavier child stuffing their face full of McDonald's fries. That is not in the spirit of the forum and is in poor taste, pun FULLY intended. 4) Footers should be no greater than 125 pixels high and 370 wide. File size should be kept below 50 Kb. 5) Voting: Each member may submit a PM Ballot to me after 10 PM Monday, July 21st. Voting will end at 10 PM Wednesday, July 23rd Each member may vote for their top 3 favorites in order of preference. When making your votes remember you can vote for 3 headers and 3 footers. 6) Judging: I give 5 points to the first pick, 3 points to the second choice, and 1 point for the third choice. The banner with the most total points will be declared the winner. Please Remember!!! There have been some folks that cast only a single vote and this seriously mucks up the process. As a result, single vote entries will merit only 2 points for their pick. ----- Specific details on banners can be found here. If you wish to learn more about how to make quality banners, you should check out the Graphics and Animation Forum. Please Note: I do expect contestants to do their own work. I have no problem in you asking people for suggestions on how to do something, but I do expect you to be the one to do the actual work. 	Yeah, we can't really do that, but you guys are welcome top advertise it in your sigs if you like. I might see if we can get the forum a spotlight in Loungin at some point though, especially if we can get it a little busier. ------------------- This Post Needs More Zazz.
