I don't see why the events of Blood Omen 2 couldn't be skipped entirely - or just referenced, if necessary.

I haven't played it in quite a while, so I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but there's nothing I can think of in BO2 that affects the other games in such a way that it couldn't be skipped entirely. As a matter of fact, a movie - or series of movies - would be a good deal better off without it, since that seems to be where the storyline got handed off to someone who went wacko with it.

i don't mean completely skip it but it will be difficult to do it because of the altered timeline

Well this thread might be dead but for one thing, you can not make a series out of LoK UNTIL all the games are released, there has been a lot of hussle from LoK game company that a new game is in the making and will be released for the PS3 and X Box360 in late 2007 or early 2008.

The games name is Legacy of Kain Destruction, it will be based a few hours after LoK Difiance... that is all im saying because thats really all i know..

By the way before you ask about whos doing the Elder Gods voice all the voice acting was done before it was all put togather, they did the voice acting for Destruction while they were doing the voice acting for Difiance

Sounds Really good it will be good for all the diehard LOK fans all over the world

Sorry Guys but if you ask me BEN CROSS would be the best KAIN he not only looks like te original KAIN and Even sounds like him..... he even played a Vampire on the remake of dark shadows

honestly ever since i seen the movie underworld i always thought Bill Nightly would make an awesome Kain... and id prefer if they got a no named actor for raziel, someone who isnt keanu reeves wich i read as an idea back on the first page.. actually they should just get a stuntman for raziel and get the original voice actor to do his lines..

Oh and the last thing you should mix with LOK is evensence or techno, that would just be an insult to the series.. LOK deserves music with some balls like some white zombie or killswitch

Well that was a good idea Bill Nightly playing Kain his voice does sound abit like Kains, but i still think the movie should be a CGI movie like the FF movies most films based on games with Actors are crap and are completle off the story lines. Games should stay to there so to say cartoon value and movie based on a games would really only work out if it was CGI thats what i think like the comic movies like X men, Spider man and the HULK(worst movie ever) i think the story lines will be changed just to suit the director.

if they changed the storyline it would not be as good. it would really stink if the people decided to change it.

That idea sounds awesome! Somthing like that crossed my mind also. Now, me too have some sugestions:
Music: Nothing like metal or rock, anything like that. Something that looks like classical music would be great.
Actors: No Hollywood crap! My sugestion is to let Japanesse movie production to make it, but with American actors, so that story would be told in english (sorry about mine lousy english, I'm from Serbia)!

why use bands at all? first of all, the huge crowd of fans to the LoK series have too different tastes to satisfy them all. I think metal is a very bad idea, and Cradle of Filth is just ridiculous (Slipknot as well). first of all, simply because I don't like them at all, and I guess hundreds of fans don't as well. second, that's only one genre. that means there won't be a chance to use music to enhance different scenes, with different emotions.
third, the movies will be difficult anyway, due to the plot, the time traveling, the manner of speech of Kain and Raziel and the others. I mean, vampires are highly evolved creatures, far more intelligent than humans, and music like Slipknot and CoF do not suggest a more evolved society.

the best thing to do, though more expensive, would be for a composer to interpret all the work. one with the same qaulities as, say, Danny Elfman, though his work would probably make it too 'light', too 'playful'.
