I've always anticipated a LOK: Soul Reaver movie. The best part, I'm not the only devotee nut-ty about the movie idea. Anyone who's ever played the games or just seen 'em wouldn't have to be told LOK would make a great movie. E'en the openings tell what potential it has to rank among the behemoths.
Loadsa novel/game adaptations suck, honest. Fans are often disappointed 'cos some people out there think they can make the stuff we enjoy better. Efforts appreciated but they should stay true to our exquisite tastes. One thing, I'm all for CGI if anyone out there is kind enough to consider making a LOK movie. Live action, never think 'bout it. I'm not so crazy 'bout CGI but compared to live action, it's a better choice if the folks ever intend making a LOK movie - and it better stay true to the game.

It would be awesome. Simple as.

Think about it- 2 main chracters, 1 is a crazy villain (Kain), 1 is an dark hero (Raziel) and a massive backstory to cover and explore. Not to mention the whole of Nosgoth!

As long as they make the film accessible and the story simply explained (yet good depth) it would be a success.

I wouldn't mind real-time or CGI!

I think that christian bale and keanu reaves would be perfect for a LoK movie! how about godsmack and disturbed for the soundtrack!

What happened? This thread was really lively and now I'm the only one on it right now! But if anybody else reads this,I think that the Trilogy thing would be Great and I really don't know what to do for the ELDER GOD's voice but what I do know is that Trapt would be great for either thefinal fight or the credits and I suggest making it animated FIRST and then if anyone wants the job,[I think the actors Should be Keanu reaves and christian bale[Don't take a chance with new actors,Trust me I know, We were going to make THE MARINE with some kid named tyler fasdeskin but luckily,we made it a wwe movie with john cena Oh! by the way, don't miss 12 rounds with john cena]

This thread isn't dead yet! Those bands are great for the movie and so are the actors. I cant believe that they havent made a LOK movie yet! Even ZELDA is getting it's own movie and it had a cartoon series! THAT gives LOK a bad name! THey should make the movie or at least another game! DBZ even gets a movie!? "PATHETIC" thats what I say! Firstly Why Ruin a sound track with all those Band, their great bands but Have u not listened to the music in the games.....It's perfect as is maybe just redo on a large scale, be far more epic without the bands, Look at the sound track for Transformers and LOTR.

As for actors, i'm inclinded to go for unknowns specially for Raziel...I don't believe Keanu Reeves could pull it off, Raziel needs to be someone who can be a refined Gentleman but Be a savage when needs to be, and def needs an "educated British" Accent, but I do think Depp could pull it off.

KEEP CHRISTAN BALE AWAY....he's a great actor but I don't think he'd make a good choice for this type of story or character, I think Kain needs someone like Anthony Hopkins, if he were a bit younger he'd be perfect, or maybe even a now seen as kain would still require alot of makeup

As for the story,I think soul Reaver would have to be the 1st movie, then combine Soul Reaver 2 and Blood omen in the 2nd ( Blood Omen could be what Raziel would discover along his way about kain). Blood omen 2 could also then be incorporated into Defiance.

Yeah i know it would be a lot but it would make sense as I don't think they would work better if the stories of kain and Raziel where wrapped around each other for the 2nd and 3rd movie. The 1st movie would have to be about Raziel since he is the hero, while introducing us to Kain enough that we want to know more.

Dude, first their needs to be a script. I already started in one of my own for the Blood Omens. I plan on making a trilogy. The first one would be Blood Omen 1 and 2. The second one would be Soul Reaver 1 and 2. The last one would be Defiance. Alsom, to make it you would need like a 1 million dollar payroll AND permission from Eidos, or they would sue you. Yeah.

I have the perfect thing (with permission from eideos and crystal dynamics). Instead of original, add one more person to it. I even have a name for him. Drake, he's half vampire, half dragon. I don't care who plays him as long as that person can have spiked hair. Drake would come in looking for His brother, RAZIEL. (and before you say no) He has beaten kain in his human form and nearly killed him before a man (moebieus) saves him and kain doesn't see him. Drake would normally be in human form and also he has a mech arm like in full metal alchemist. he doesn't know about kain being a vampire or raziel knowing him. and he sees the future and saw what happens to raziel in defiance. so he doesn't tell anyone and leaves after 19 battles with demons to pursue his goals, get (and bang) his girl, and to keep earth safe of Evil beings and creatures. that would make a good character for another entirely different movie

I think that we all wish that they produce a Legacy of kain movie.
but we cant just wish that, we must try to give this idea to a big producer or a big director, so he can do it.
I am sure that this game story is really really a good 1.
I really liked it
so I hope someone or some of you guys take this game idea to someone who can change it into a great movie.
