Hello!!I'm new to this forum.Although it's a long time since legend of dragoon has been released,i got a copy and finished the game just yesterday!! I believe that Rose and Zieg died but only by giving up their human forms!What about the birds with red and dark blue feathers in the end?Those colours represent them!!what is more,the spheres shown are just too big to be dragoon spirits!!So,what if they are eggs or something like that?It may be my crazy imagination,but no one has ever said such a thing before. Ps:Good luck into making this sequel.Wish i could help!!However I can't.. i'm into a sequel of ff8 and still writing the fanfic.

Ok, this is awesome that there are actually games out there who still play this. I have beaten it all the way through with all stardust and each dragoon leveled all the way. My dart ended up being around lvl 60, but I couldn't give exact info since I haven't played it in quite a while due to my memory card having to be formatted, I took it out when it asked and attempted to fix it like normal when that happens, but the memory was lost.

But besides all of that, I have read through most all of the posts up here. There are some interesting conversations and quite a few questions by many people. If anyone would like to ask anything at all, please post it and I will answer as soon as possible. If anyone would like images of sprites, terrains, dragoon skin textures, any kind of things we will need if the game we to be released on the PlayStation 2 or 3. I have went to game designing and computer engineering summer camps and would say i am quite capable of helping you guys in some way to prepare to create the second one.

And BTW, do the man who posted 2 times before me, might you be able to give me a link to the site that you got your info from, id like to see if i am able to truly validate it in some way.

I will also soon be trying to contact Sony to see what i am capable of doing about the copy wrights and all to be allowed to make a second.

wow. i would buy a ps2/3 just to play an official sequel to the best rpg game ever made, legend of dragoon.

So, I just done reading through most of this, and there is some things I think some of the people on this forum need to understand:
Aside from (as has already been mentioned) it took 3 years, and over 100 people to make the first one. Sony may consider LoD a bit of a flop in the US. Lets examine this: Meru is (in my oppion) an unbeleivably annonying character, Shana (when not a Dragoon)is a massivily under powered character, the music sometimes fits the events unfolding, the graphics (compared to resent games) sucks. And a few characters don't have very well developed backstorys, and the sequal was only realised in Japan. There is also a good chance that Sony (if it were to look at the ravanous fans demanding a remake) might not make a new LoD simply because they feel they would ruin the game to many players.

On that note, there really should be a new version of the game. If they made it atleast an ok game, I'm sure nearly all the ravanous fans would go out and buy a copy. Or three. I might actually buy a PS3 just to play it.

Other points: while it would be cool to have a Space, Time, or Plasma Dragoon, it is not likely to happen. The other 8 (exept the Divine) are based on elements, and are even called such (again, exept the Divine). To add Dragoons based on other things could be looked as a 'jumping the shark' moment (in refernce to the 'jumping the shark' episode from Happy Days). Or, (a sad example) like when they started to add in random planets to act as guides in Sailor Moon. It is difficult to justify, and really weird.
However, there is an idea in the Sun, Moon, and Star Dragoon. Instead, make it an alternate Transformation style. The Sun is the basic, Moon focuses more on attack (the characters weapon changes more then the rest of the char), and star focuses more on D-Magic. This is (while still a little weird) more justifiable, and easier to explain then three to six new dragoons appearing out of no-where.

The Legend of Dragoon has NO sequel present in Japan or America. Drag-on Dragoon is game released by SquareEnix.

Also, I'm pretty sure (sales-wise) it did worse in Japan than in America.

Also its MERU not mura. hmph! Shes the coolest Character!!!

At the end of the game it shows u exactly what happens to everyone.
