This is my first post here, so yeah. Is this still going? I can see the author hasn't posted anything since 2006. Seems quite likely he gave up on it.

Uh, she didn't try to help Zieg escape. They wanted to end their 10,000 year long journey and at the same time help Dart and co. escape (think about it, wouldn't you be sick of it after 10,000 years?)

Although I like this idea a lot since I love and treasure the game (still have the original from when I bought it in 2002) but there are two things about the dragoon organization I don't like. 1. Shana having the darkness dragoon? She's as far away from dark you can be. 2. Lloyd died, so it makes absolutely no sense at all to have him in a sequel with the red-eyed dragoon of all things, unless you developed a REALLY REALLY REALLY good backstory for that.

Then again, I don't really know why I ramble considering the author hasn't posted in what, 3 years? Was a pretty neat idea overall, though.

Looking on the first page the guy had it pretty set up and decent too. Better than most rp's in the role play forum. xD Maybe attempt to bring it back with a new thread?

Hmm... you know if you wish to do any 3D modeling me and a few friends are pretty enthusiastic in that regard and i would certainly be very happy to lend my services to this project as would my mates, we're pretty skillful with our 3D skills and will support most 3D formats

id like a game from lloyd's perspective, starting from back when he lived with the wingley's until he dies fighting melbu frahma. 3-D with open roam version of the lod world, and plays out like an rpg, except no battle sequences thats lame, open attack style like kingdom hearts with no teammates because lloyd is always solo. also hd and ps3 compatible! :] hook me up nerds. ill buy the game for 50 bucks.

Okay, I have read a little of this and I found some interesting things, I would love a sequel, but make it so you won't have to restart your game to continue with it. I think you should have Rose's and Zeig's spirits in this one, ready to be saved, and so you go back to the beginning right after you beat the last boss. That is all of my opinion

Sorry for my inactivity and leaving this topic dead for 3 years. I am still doing this and remember it will be a 2D game as I'm not a 3D modeling guy. The links in the first post I will update and I have someone who is redoing the 2D sprites and they are better then I am. I promise I will fix the links in less than 2 days.

Lavitz could use the wind element, but once he died it went to King Albert. Dart used fire in the beginning, but later he used non-elemental. SO since Miranda is using it Shana would need a new one, and thus receives Roses old one (at least in my game).

Well you never see him hit the ground or his dead decaying body. Plus he is a Wingly (who can fly) so in my sequel he never died.

3D and 2D are different, both in how they are made (graphic wise).

Ah comon! This game is totaly AWESOME and as BADASS as it gets!!! Wouldnt you agree that if it did came out if you didnt suicide by the tought that this moment isnt happening, teleport to the store and snatch the game in under 5 seconds?! OMG i can't believe they isnt listening and aint making a sequal... i've beated the game 2 times and its totaly wonderful, i've even lent it to my friends who has also enjoyed it and beated it isnt there some way of telling it to Sony itself to make a sequal???? lik really telling them... so they can see it??

There are many reasons why they don't do it (I could not tell you what those reasons are; but they have them). And it doesn't have to be Sony to make it any game producing company can buy the rights to the game as well.

Well, I’ll give my shot at a few of the reasons …

1. Sales-wise, the game didn’t do so great in its motherland of development, which is Japan. The demand for a prequel/remake/sequel may be great over here in America, Europe, etc., but it isn’t great over there.

2. TLoD is constantly compared to Final Fantasy VII, even more so than other RPGs. Granted, Sony brought some of this on themselves for its marketing techniques, but a lot of the criticism for this game lays in the - Final Fantasy VII vs. Every other RPG or Game for that Matter which is in Existence - mentality some people have. Honestly, I don’t know why. I’ve played and finished both games and I’m beginning to think people are still imagining similarities that simply don’t exist.

3. A chunk of the original staff is rumored to have passed away. A primarily new team could take the game in either a bad or good direction.

4. RPGs, with a few exceptions here and there, generally don’t sell as well in the U.S. as other genres. All you need to do is take a look at the charts to see that Action/Adventure/First-Person Shooter type games are consistently more popular.

So, at this point, the only version of TLoD we’ll see will probably be made by a dedicated group of fans.
