Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

It has been some 10 years since the struggle between the forces of the Negaverse and the Sailor Warriors ended. A decade of relative peace followed. Humankind, always quick to forget its problems, especially problems that don’t affect them as individuals, has already started to relegate those courageous young women to the realm of myth.

For their part, the Sailor Warriors didn’t seem to mind. Sailor Moon, now Princess Serenity, disappeared along with Prince Endymion. It is believed that they returned to the Moon Kingdom. Also departed is Chibi Usa, now a stunning beauty at age 17.

Having discovered the true nature of their powers and worked hard at perfecting them, the other Scouts/Warriors also went their own ways, happy to finally have an opportunity for personal lives. Minako returned to the United Kingdom, her exact location unknown. Ami is a fast-rising computer security specialist with TDE Corporation (Tokyo Developmental Electronics), a major defense contractor. Makoto now lives in Yokosuka, where she owns a popular fine dining restaurant.

Rei Hino is the chief priestess of the Hikawa Shrine, although currently still recovering from a serious case of tetrodotoxin poisoning from an improperly prepared puffer fish. Ah, well, such is the risk of life’s true pleasures.

Haruka Tenou and Michiru Kaiou have disappeared, as has the mysterious Setsuna Meiou.

Ah, the joys of peace. Alas, a peace soon to be interrupted, not by the vulgarity of violence, but by the insidious and far more dangerous intervention of a new and deadly enemy.

Professor Kenichi Ozawa is a highly respected neurologist working at the Tokyo Regional Medical Center. Strangely, little is known about him prior to his arrival there and, with his remarkable skills, no one seems to care. Most of the records of his life disappeared in the mysterious fire that destroyed the vital documents and statistics section of the Prefecture Records Building in his home of Kokura. An only child, the professor was orphaned when both of his parents were lost at sea during a vacation in the Philippines.

Now, the only remaining records are his medical certifications, records which he himself provided during his application for residency at the Medical Center.

If only the people around him had known, they might have uncovered the beginnings of an ominous plot, a plot aimed not at controlling the Earth, but at total domination of both our Universe and the Negaverse.

Professor Kenichi Ozawa, you see, is a first class demon, a renegade whose unorthodox schemes and methods alarmed even the Lords of the Negaverse. They were only too happy to allow him to leave, happy to hear that he had new plans for the unfortunate Earth, and overjoyed that his first target would be the troublesome Sailor Warriors. If only they had realized just how far his ambition extended.

Those wishing to join should PM me with a list of three characters they would like to control. This list should be in order of preference. Initially, only the characters listed below will be authorized, but the inclusion of original characters may happen a bit later.

Available characters:

Ami Mizuno – Sailor Mercury (Dead Boi_z Ink) : 26 years old. Has the power to control water vapor and airborne moisture. Her ability to control standing or flowing water is minimal.

Minako Aino – Sailor Venus (NPC) : 26 years old. Has the power to control light and darkness in radiant, pulse, photon and sheet form.

Usagi Tsukino – Sailor Moon/Princess Serenity (Shadowj) : 26 years old. Has the power to control the actions of others through cognitive hypnotic suggestion. Also has psionic defensive capabilities.

Chibi-Usa (Shadowj) : 17 years of age. Same powers as Usagi. Due to the influence of her father, Endymion, her powers are more completely developed at this age than her mother's were.

Mamoru Chiba – Tuxedo Mask/Prince Endymion (Shadowj) : 31 years old. Superior psionic capabilities including force field projection, telekinesis, telepathy and others. Accomplished martial artist.

Rei Hino – Sailor Mars (Shonic98) : 26 years old. Fire elemental. ‘Nuff said.

Makoto Kino – Sailor Jupiter (DSDuffaroo45) : 27 years old. Has the power to control static electricity, specifically lightning. Accomplished martial artist.

Hotaru Tomoe - Sailor Saturn (Arsenic Syringes) : 11 years old. Powers not fully determined.

Haruka Tenou – Sailor Uranus (Arsenic Syringes) : 29 years old. Has the power to control gravity and plate techtonics, giving her the ability to create earth tremors and localized pressure waves.

Michiru Kaiou – Sailor Neptune (Dead Boi_z Ink) : 28 years old. Water elemental.

Setsuna Meiou – Sailor Pluto (Arsenic Syringes) : 35 years old. Has the power to control time, making her the most powerful and most feared of all Sailor Warriors.

Kenichi Ozawa (Keiichi) : 36 years old. First class demon, board certified neurologist/neurosurgeon, major pain in the neck (and other portions of the anatomy).

Doctor Tristan Xetor (Timu) : Another rogue demon working with Doctor Ozawa. Little is known of him, other than his reputation as a sadistic enemy and unreliable ally.

Doctor Takeshiro Kobayashi (Keiichi) : A young but promising demon with a natural talent for science and intrigue. He is Doctor Ozawa's hand-picked protege. However, Kobayashi has spent many years living among humans to study their cultures, strengths and weaknesses. His lengthy exposure to the inferior species has become a matter of some concern to his mentor.

Roxill Danatei (Homunculus Lover): Roxill remembers nothing of her past....she doesn't even think she had one. The only thing she knows is a whisper in her ear which said 'You were meant for destruction. You can cause the world to crumble.' Besides that, she remembered being founded by the doctor. Since then, she has always been attached to him. She has always been thankful that he came across her for some reason. One could even say she loves him, but with her confused knowledge on emotions, she really wouldn't know. She currently works on Doctor Ozawa's staff, not in a medical capacity but as his eyes and ears among the hospital staff, a nearly perfect assignment for a demon, if only she were a bit more cautious. . . .

re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

RP Update:

Just to keep everyone aware of where we are . . .

As I type this post, we have seven players registered. I am going to wait until tonight (EDT) to see if anyone else wants to join.

If no one else joins, I will assign each of you who have requested more than one character a second character. Remember that you can have as many as three.

After all of the Sailor Warriors have been assigned, you may submit original characters by PM for approval, up to a total of three. These original characters may be either humans to interact with the principals or demons working for Professor Ozawa.

Currently, we still need someone to take Sailor Mercury. Rei, Hotaru, Haruka and Setsuna are all secondary choices, so unless we get a new player who wants them tonight, they'll be assigned to current players.

Looks like we may be able to start tomorrow. I will keep you updated.

Okay. Everyone is covered except Sailor Pluto. There could be a last minute change or two, but we're not going to wait to see if the last three invitees actually join.

If any of you want to add an original character, submit a standard character sheet by PM.

I will try to get my first post up tonight, but it may be very late or even tomorrow. If any of you would like to start, you can place your initial posts.

re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

This is the first original character sheet.

RyuNacho has joined us. At least I have one ally!

Name: Dr. Tristan Xetor

Age: 47

Gender: Male

Appearance: Under his guise as a human, many people doubt his age of 47. He looks youthful for someone his age, with jet-black hair on top, and no signs of balding. He is also in a peak physical condition. Always dresses in a formal suit, no matter the occasion.

Biography: Promised a position of power next to Professor Ozawa if Xetor was to help him. In the Negaverse, he was a viewed as a commoner, despite his abilities. In the human world, he is feared and respected by his colleagues. Dr. Tristan Xetor has a PhD in Psychology and Philosophy, and is a physically commanding man. Takes orders only from Professor Ozawa, and then only because Ozawa could beat him in a fight.

Powers: Because of his long studies, he has developed his powers to the point of minor mind control; he can completely dominate a weak willed individual. However, stronger willed people can usally fend off his mind games.

re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

And away we go!

The buzzing of the intercom caused the man at the desk to glance at his watch. Noting the time, he was confident of the message awaiting him. “Yes?”

“Doctor Ozawa?” a pleasant female voice replied, “Doctor Kobayashi is here. Shall I send him in?”

Closing the book he had been reading, Doctor Kenichi Ozawa picked up a manila file folder and opened it. Within were the qualifications and letter of introduction for one Doctor Takeshiro Kobayashi. He had been expecting the visit. “Please, show him in.”

Moments later the door opened. A tall, slender man entered, bowing politely to the unseen woman behind him. He then proceeded directly to the chair facing his host from across the fine cherry wood desk. With a respectful nod, he took his seat. “Good afternoon, Ozawa-sama. It’s been a while.”

“You’ve been busy,” the older man answered. “These qualifications are excellent, if indeed they are legitimate?”

The visitor smiled slightly, his dark eyes flashing from the subtle flecks of red deep within. With a slight chuckle, he spoke. “They’re all real, Doctor. That’s why it took me so long to report to you. I’m a quick study, but the bureaucracy around here is ridiculous. Took longer getting the certifications than doing the studying.”

It was Ozawa’s turn to smile. He flipped through several pages of documents, then closed the file and looked up. “It’s good to have you back, Kobayashi-kun. Have you been briefed on the plan yet?”

“Some of it. Knowing you, though, I assume the dark lords don’t know the whole scheme, do they?”

“Let us say that they know enough for the moment,” came the response. “It would be best left at that. Initially, we will need to capture two of them. One is already here in a private room. There are two more who are fairly easy targets. I will leave it to you to choose which.”

“Do you have a plan for covering the disappearances?”

“We won’t keep them long,” Ozawa explained. “No one is going to die, at least not yet. The first stage won’t be entirely pleasant, but they’ll have little or no memory of it, and they will recover.”

Kobayashi nodded, clasping his hands as he considered the task before him. He had worked with Ozawa before. The good doctor was unpredictable and devious, but treated his respected colleagues well. A strong bond of trust existed between them, something unusual in the Negaverse. Even so, he would not let his guard down around the Professor. Even the slightest lapse could be dangerous. “They never caught on to all the construction, did they?”

“No. The subway tunnels connected almost directly to the old wing through some construction tubes. With no one working in the old building, there was no one to listen. The facilities are ready, and only we know that they are there.”

“Good. When do we start?”

Ozawa stood up, motioning for the younger man to rise. He indicated the door as he circled the desk. “Right now.”

The middle-aged administrative assistant looked up as the two men left the inner office. She picked up a pencil and pad, prepared to notate the instructions she knew were about to be given.

“Komura-san,” the senior physician began, “Doctor Kobayashi will be joining the hospital staff as a surgery consultant to this department. He will need credentials for the surgery suites, pharmacy, laboratory and radiology. Will you please see to them?”

“Immediately, sir,” the woman replied. By the time she had laid the pad on her desk and picked up the telephone receiver, the doctors had left.

re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

"Oh, good morning Mr. Xetor. Uh, I...I didn't see you come in. How are you?"
"I'm fine thanks. And it's Dr. Xetor."
"Sorry, sir...Doc."
"Please don't call me that."
"Sorry!"
"And please stop apologizing. It means oh-so-little."
"So...I mean, of course."
"Now, tell me, where should I be right now? Who needs my help?"
"Well Dr. Xetor, our worst patient is a Mr. Taro. We aren't quite sure whats wrong with him."
Tristan's assisstant, a young man of average height and sandy brown hair, handed the doctor a clipboard with several papers. He glanced over the notes quickly, to see if any hints as to what may be wrong were listed.
Through his thin glasses, he could see his assisstant standing idly by, awaiting orders of some sort. He was shaking slightly; apparently, he'd heard of how good Dr. Xetor was at his job. He looked up at the trembling young man with a smile. "You just transfered here yesterday, correct?"
The assisstant was caught off guard, and quickly shocked into a state of minor confusion. Shakily, he replied, "Um, yes sir."
"I see. From what department, may I ask?"
"Actually sir, I'm from a completely different hospital. I was transfered here from the Osaka Psychiatric Ward."
"Ah. Do you know why?"
"I know of no apparent reason."
Dr. Tristan Xetor looked down at the white tiled floor of the hospital, thinking for a moment.
"Why? Is there something wrong?"
His hair shifted slightly as his eyes came back up to meet the assisstant's, and he laughed inaudibly. "'I know of no apparent reason.' Last question, kid. Whats your name?"
"I'm Don...Don Komer."
"Alright Don. Thats it for now. Go file some papers, or whatever it is you do."
"Yes sir!"
Don scuttled off down the hall, headed to Tristan's office. Tristan took a final glance at the papers he had before visiting Mr. Taro. He tucked the clipboard and scribbled papers under his arm and headed to Mr. Taro's room.
Nurses and doctors of many sorts, sometimes followed by personal secretaries and assisstants, scurried about, too worried and stressed to actually think well enough to be of much use. He smiled as he looked around; with all the distraction and confusion around, such a place could easily fall prey to the little mind games that Tristan so much liked to play.
When finally he arrived to Mr. Taro's room, he knocked lightly on the door before allowing himself in. The lights were turned off, but he could distinctly see a man lying in the corner, curled into the basic fetal position. Quiet whimpers and cries came from the man. "Mr Taro, I presume?"
Taro just continued to lie in his cornoer, whining and randomly reaching out, as if to grab something.
"Mr. Taro, lets begin our session..."

re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

She sat hunched, a small peice of paper between her index finger and the one right to it, she muttered barely audible words. Her concentration was all she needed.

She let a moan escape her lips as she felt the urge the spew rise.

"Geez, I'm never going to be able to concentrate hard enough feeling sick like this." Rei grumbled, clasping a hand on her stomach.

If only she had gotten something else, maybe this horrid fate would not have showered upon her... why puffer fish? She got up, stumbling slightly.

"They are alomost as clueless as Serena." Rei muttered.

She did not mean this of course, no one could be as clueless as Princess Serenity. Though, she deeply missed her friends, despite the fact that she had many new ones. She sighed and sat down, feeling miserable, she did not know which it was, the fish or her sorrow.

"I haven't seen them in a long time." She mumbled.

That was very true of course, she wondered, in the deepest part of her heart, if they were thinking of her. She shook her head, she had better things to concentrate on.

re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)

Name: Samuel “Sam” Kurosaki
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Appearance: Sam has bright gray eyes, light brown hair with blond highlights, stands about 4’3”, and has pale skin. The young boy is usually seen wearing his grade school uniform and brown hiking boots with a camera slung across his neck. And when he’s not in his school uniform he is either wearing a hospital gown or dark blue pants, a dark blue t-shirt with a light blue hood and blue sneakers.
Personality: Samuel is a sensitive little boy, he doesn’t like to understand “adult” logic but will if it will help him get to his destination. He has suffered lots of loss in his young life and because of that he tends to stay away from people. He is quite intelligent for his age and is extremely sarcastic. But he is also a nurturing and loving little boy, one who doesn’t understand why people must suffer to get what they want.
Samuel is someone who is straight-forward, which comes to many as a bothersome trait. Especially when he’s around people he’s deemed unworthy of his presence. He often acts high-and-mighty, but will always end up crying into someone’s arms. For that, he is innocent and naïve.
History: Samuel is an “exchange” student from America, well, at least that is how he explains it. He often spends most of his time in the hospital getting treatment for a rare blood disease he has. His parents, as busy as they were when he was younger, are still busy now…still working in America and far from Samuel. Sam lives with his uncle and cousin, Hotaru, when he is not in the hospital.
He is often obsessing about the Sailor Scouts, which is why he carries a camera around his neck just in case they show up. He has been held back in the same grade for a long time since he rarely shows up for class and when he does show up…it is only to pick up school work for the days he missed and is going to miss. Yet, although he has been forced out of what a normal child would go through…he is often seen smiling at the life he does have.
Other: Samuel is always seen wearing a crystal, crescent moon-shaped necklace. And he often has one of his “attacks” when soldiers from the Negaverse are near. He also has a sort of sixth sense for sensing people whom he says are “untrusting, backstabbing monsters”

~~~
The fluffy pillow of the hospital bed seemed to be one of only two friends Samuel had managed to keep for three weeks, the other being a teddy bear his Uncle and cousin had given to him earlier that day. “This sucks,” the pale boy groans shifting around his hospital bed. Terminally ill…he doesn’t have much time to live. That is what the doctors kept on saying ever since he could understand them, although he didn’t give a damn…he wasn’t close to dying yet.
“I’m back! I snuck some lunch in for you…but don’t tell the nurses.” His uncle laughs setting down some sushi, a drink, and strawberry pocky with a large smile on his face. Sam smiles weakly back at him leaning back and sliding the table over his lap. “They said that we’re going to start treatment over at my house so you wouldn’t have to stay in the hospital all the time. Hotaru is looking forward to spending some time with you.” Sam looks up after sticking a whole piece of sushi in his mouth and chewing quietly.
Samuel gulps down the piece of food with a solemn look on his face. “I like it here…I’d rather stay here.” The boy growls harshly, receiving a glare from his Uncle.
“I know…your parents haven’t been taking good care of you. But I’m trying to make up for it, Sam.” His Uncle says giving the boy a hug, kissing him on his forehead before standing up and heading towards the door. “I’ll be back. Hotaru’s getting off of school soon and I have to pick her up.” Sam stares at the wall, holding back from throwing his food across the room.
“I hate it here...” Sam mumbles to himself opening the box of pocky and chewing on a stick of the strawberry-favored yogurt. I hate it everywhere… Sam thinks to himself leaning forward against the lap table and beginning to sob.
re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)
The door to the private room opened and a tall, slender young doctor holding a chart walked in. Rei looked up in mild interest, her head still fuzzy and her stomach uneasy. Even so, her mouth fell open as the young physician walked toward her.
Stopping just short of the bed, the doctor set the chart on the small rolling table. He brought his hands together in front of his chest and bowed deeply. "I am honored, Priestess. I hope our humble hospital has been to your satisfaction."
The young woman regained her composure, attempting to smile. She tried to sit up, but her long hair caught behind her body and held her back momentarily.
With an understanding grin, the man moved toward his patient. He gently pulled the long, dark tresses from beneath her body and allowed them to fall across her shoulders. "I am Doctor Kobayashi," he informed her, stepping back to where she could see him clearly and pulling a chair alongside the bed. "I am a surgery consultant for the neurology department.
Rei's eyes narrowed at the word 'surgery'. "Surgery consultant?" she questioned. "I'm just sick. I don't need surgery, do I?"
"No," came the reassuring answer. "You don't need surgery. I'm here as a neurologist. I expect you already know how badly the tetrodotoxin has affected your nervous system."
"Yes," the priestess answered. "But I'm doing a lot better. I don't understand why I need a neurosurgeon. That is what you are, isn't it?"
"Very astute," he chuckled. "Yes, Ms Hino, I am. But you don't need surgery. We're hoping you can go home in two or three days. Before we can release you, however, we need to be sure that your nervous system is working properly. We're going to need a full body MRI. That's why I'm here."
Rei closed her eyes momentarily, bracing herself with her hands as she felt momentary dizziness. She understood most of what the handsome doctor was telling her. Still, his visit had surprised and unsettled her. If this was all they needed, why a new doctor and not the one who had treated her since his arrival. "Okay," she finally said. "But, why isn't Doctor Ozawa doing this?"
"I work for Doctor Ozawa. I just transfered in here this morning. You are my first patient." He turned a warm smile on her, so warm and genuine that the young woman looked for a moment as if she were going to melt. "Do you feel well enough to go through the MRI machine tomorrow morning?"
"I think so," Rei allowed. "How long will it take?"
Kobayashi pursed his lips, considering the question. "About two hours," he informed her. "You have to stay completely motionless while you're in the imager, so we'll give you a pill about a half-hour before you go to radiology. You'll probably sleep through the whole procedure."
"Well, if I'm going to be asleep, I'm sure I can handle it." She smiled at the man, getting a chuckle from him in turn.
"Alright, then. A nurse will be coming in to have you sign a few papers, then she'll schedule the MRI session. By the way, how are you doing with your meals? Have you been able to swallow easily?"
"It's better," she answered, "but I have to eat in real small bites. Soup is still easier."
The surgeon nodded, taking a pen from his pocket and making a note on the chart. He turned several pages upward, looking for and finding her dietary chart. With another nod, he looked up at her. "Okay. We'll keep you on a soft diet for another day. You'll have to be able to tolerate a normal diet before we release you, but that could happen overnight. You're making good progress. I don't think you'll be here much longer."
Rei smiled again. "Good. I'm ready to get back to the shrine."
Kobayashi rose and stepped backward. Again he bowed, then turned toward the door. "I'll see you in the morning," was his parting comment.
re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)
OOC: Okie, second try...I tried to post a frickin' wall of text yesterday, but the server has having some sort of problem, thus effectively destroying my almighty wall. -_-'
So, here we go again...
Tristan stepped inside the room, and closed the door behind him. He set the papers on a desk in the room, with the lights still off. Taro was still in the corner, whining about whatever oddities he was, while Tristan pulled a chair up nearby.
"So, Mr. Taro, do you think you could tell me your full name?"
"..."
"Please Mr. Taro. At least let me know what you would prefer to be called."
Tears streaming from his eyes, he turned to try and see the doctor, but with the lights still off, he was unable to see anything. "It's dark..."
"I'm sorry, thats my preference. But if you want the lights, then I suppose I could make it so."
Blinking on so suddenly alarmed Taro back into his corner, blinding him in an entirely different way than the darkness could have provided.
"I didn't mean to startle you Mr. Taro. Now, please. What would you like to be called?"
"Don't."
"Hm? Don't what?"
"Don't call me."
"Don't call you? You mean, you don't want me to refer to you?"
"I don't like you...I don't like this place."
"Why not?"
"Because it's corrupt. And you're evil."
"Honestly, I don't know what you're talking about. I just want to help you. Everyone here does."
"No. No one wants to help. No one can help."
"I'm sure we could. Now, will you please climb up onto the bed, so I can look you in the eye as we talk?"
"No."
Tristan sighed, and raised his gaze to the wall, then turned to the bed. "You know Taro, things are..."
"I said don't call me!"
Again he sighed, his sight now fixated on the troubled man in the corner. "Just out of curiosity, please tell me...What do you think is corrupt? What is wrong with this world? With any world?"
"Everything..."
"And what is everything?"
"I want to go home."
"I'm sorry, but I can't release you until you've been properly treated. And for proper treatment, I must diagnose you. But to do that, I must know whats wrong."
Taro began to cry again, muttering about his missing family, and something more about his life.
"Taro, I think that you have severe depression. But I think there may be something else. Tell me, do you hear voices?"
"Yeah. Ones talking to me right now. He claims to be a doctor..."
"You know what I meant Taro."
"..."
He stopped whining, stopped kicking and grabbing out at the invisible objects around him. "Listen," he whispered. "You can hear it too."
"Sir, if this is true, then you also have schiz..."
"He wants us..."
"Ok...paranoid shchizophrenia, and..."
A sudden interruption from Taro's fist slung Tristan into the floor, catching him off guard. He landed with a hard thud, his head impacting on the hard, white, uniform tile spread through the hospital. Opening his eyes, a vague silhouette of a man stood above him.
"No! There is nothing wrong with me!"
Tristan glared at Taro hard, calmly stating, "Sit down Taro. On that bed. You need to calm down."
"No! I won't listen to you!"
"Mr. Taro..."
"STOP CALLING ME!"
Taro ran out of the door, alarming several nurses who had stopped by the door when they heard the commotion inside. The group stepped in, and say Dr. Xetor lying on the floor, and chair toppled over and several papers lying on top of him.
"Oh! Dr. Xetor! Are you ok?"
His eyes were closed, but had turned red under the eyelids. Supressing his anger the best he could, he told the ladies that he was fine, and they had to alert the police of a psycho on the loose.
"Of course! We'll go do that!"
Several seconds after the ladies left, Tristan began to talk inaudibly to himself.
"Taro, you will regret this."
Several halls down, a terrible scream of agony came out from Taro as he fell to his knees. In a horrifying mix of terror and sorrow, he started yelling out.
"No! Get away from me! Demons!"
In front of Taro, things to horrible to haunt nightmares came at him, and the screams of tortured souls rang in his ears. And then, the Darkness surrounded him, and Taro passed out from sheer fright. Two doctors on the spot picked him up, and wheeled him to the emergency room, with a security guard there waiting for them.
Tristan sat up, and brushed himself off. His eyes faded back to a deep blue, allowing him to re-open them and encompass his surroundings.
"...Apparently, Mr. Taro also has extreme psychosis and/or dementia."
re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)
Three ‘doctors’ sat around a conference table, looking at a patient chart and sipping at cups of hot tea. An odd aura of imminent danger permeated the air, as though the very walls of the room sensed something to be dreaded visiting within their confines. Of course, the three physicians didn’t notice. It was, after all, they from whom the ominous vibrations originated.
“Paranoid schizophrenia,” Kobayashi chuckled. “Well, appropriate if not terribly original. I assume he had some help developing this particular malfunction?”
“I only nudged him a bit,” Doctor Xetor admitted. “He was on the brink. It was easy to help him over the edge.” He glanced at the senior member of the group as an unreadable chuckle escaped the man. “You disapprove?” he inquired.
“No,” Ozawa replied. “He would have reached his current state even without your help. You just catalyzed the process. It can be used to our advantage.”
“Hmmm,” the psychologist murmured, staring into his beverage. His expression was as non-committal as the comment.
The level of tension in the room was almost palpable. None of the men spoke for several minutes, each looking inward, aware that theirs was a most unusual alliance. At least to the two younger demons, this triumvirate made little sense. As the minutes dragged onward, Doctor Ozawa broke the silence.
“It is no secret, Tristan-kun, that you and I have little trust for each other. The high council was most reluctant to grant my request to assign you to this mission.”
Tristan’s eyes widened in momentary surprise, then quickly returned to their normal guarded state. He turned to gaze at the elder demon. “I’m honored, Ozawa-sama, but I’m also confused. Why would you request me? You’ve never trusted me, probably with good reason on occasion.”
Ozawa smiled, lifting his cup to his lips. After a long, refreshing sip, he lowered the cup to the table and answered. “This mission is more important than our past differences. I requested you because you are the best at what you do, and at the moment, I need the very best. Kobayashi-san is also highly regarded in his field, which is why he is here.
“You are one of a very few who can use your powers effectively and remain discreet. What we are doing must be done quickly, but it must not draw attention. Our activities will alert unwelcome intervention soon enough.”
“Uh, just what is it that we are doing,” Tristan prodded, reaching for his cup. “Keep it simple, please. I’m not a neurologist.”
“The ultimate plan I will not reveal at present,” Ozawa dissembled. “I can tell you that, if we succeed, the high council will have more power and greater dominion than it has ever had before, and we will be their senior administrators.”
The two younger men looked at each other. Kobayashi shrugged, admitting that he had no more idea of what was happening than his counterpart. Tristan, however, was not inclined to be satisfied with such minimal information.
“Just what is it we’re doing at present,” he insisted.
Ozawa folded his hands in front of himself, his mouth drawn into a deep frown. It was obvious that he was deeply concerned about the current state of their work. “We need to capture as many of the Sailor Warriors as possible,” he explained. “Eventually, all ten will be required. That will not be easy. At present, we only know the whereabouts of three. When we do find them, their capture must be accomplished in such a manner that they appear to have been involved in accidents. These accidents must be of such a nature that it will not arouse suspicion for us to order full body MRIs, CAT-scans, biopsies and full sanguinous and lymphatic batteries.”
Kobayashi released a low pitched whistle, his eyes widening. “That is not going to be easy.”
Tristan nodded in agreement. “I’m with him, doc. That’s a big order.”
“That is why you are here,” Ozawa replied. “I am confident that you can find a way to accomplish this task.”
Xetor slowly shook his head, a thin smile tugging at his lips. “All ten of them. That should be fun,” he chuckled quietly.
“Perhaps I should amend that,” the neurosurgeon added. “Eight at first. Two of them I don’t want involved any sooner than is absolutely necessary.”
“Let me guess,” Tristan countered. “You don’t want Pluto involved. Correct?”
“Yes, that is one.”
“And the other is the teenage girl,” Kobayashi added, “the one they called Chibi-Usa.”
Ozawa smiled, a hint of surprise in his eyes. He lifted his cup in silent acknowledgement of his colleague’s understanding. “And why her?” he questioned.
“Because we don’t know what her powers are or how well developed they are,” the youngest member of the group replied. “She’s an unknown quantity.”
Tristan shook his head again. “Sorry, gentlemen, but I can’t get too worried about Usagi’s daughter. She’s going to be as scatter-brained as her mother.”
“Perhaps,” Ozawa concluded, nodding slowly, “but remember that Endymion is her father. Don’t underestimate her.”
re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)
Samuel follows silently behind his uncle as they walk through the halls of the pediatric ward of the hospital. The walls were littered with children’s drawings, a colorful macabre of how children saw things. Sam thought the whole thing was stupid…being the blunt person he was, he even made comments to some of the others. ”That’s stupid to be a dog? It looks like a mutated turtle.” And then usually the other kid would run away crying; only to reappear with a nurse in tow who scolded Samuel about “not saying mean things to the other children.” They always talked down to him.
“Wanna get some food after this?” His uncle asks looking back at him. Sam shyly nods. The two stop at the check-out desk…where one of the nurses pray that Samuel would miraculously get better so that he wouldn’t have to return and torture her. The fake smile said it all to the boy.
“Well…I hope being out of the hospital will do you some good.” The nurse says happily patting the top of Sam’s head. “Good luck in the real world, Sammie.” Sam shudders at the cutesy nickname adults would call him. His uncle and the nurse chat up a mumbling storm and the boy is left to stand in silent boredom.
“Uncle…I’m going down by myself.” Sam says leaving his guardian’s side and starting towards the elevator, walking passed an open prison door. Inside was a Hino, Rei—at least, that’s what the name label said beside the door. His noticeable bright hair was seen by the recovering priestess, who decided to remain silent about the boy’s presence.
Dull hazel eyes met bright black eyes as the ten-year-old slowly walks into the room with a curious look on his face. Silence lingers through the air as the two stare at each, making the silence incredibly uncomfortable among the two of them. “What are you in for?” Sam asks softly, hanging his head sheepishly at the older woman.
“I think it’s called Tetrodotoxin poisoning,” Rei answers with a laugh, studying the young boy’s confused face. “I ate some bad puffer fish.” Samuel nods finally understanding what she met.
“Aren’t people supposed to die if you eat bad puffer fish…I mean, that’s what I heard. Did you eat it at a restaurant? Are you going to sue them? Was the puffer fish good? Do you think I should try some before I die? Do you eat puffer fish a lot?” Sam continues to ask unending questions his eyes lighting up with each one as he walks over to the end of her bed and lays on it, staring up at her. “Is being outside as good as Uncle and Hotaru say it is?”
re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)
OOC - ok ok... I might be a little rusty and Minako might be a little out of character... but I'll try my best! So she's in England...
----
“I’m home,” announced Minako tiredly, tossing her yellow jacket aside and collapsing in the nearest chair in reach. “Arrrgh, what a day what a day. One, two, three, one, two, three…” referring to her dance lessons.
Minako Aino attended LAMDA – The London Academy of Music and Dramatic art to pursue her dream of being a famous idol. LAMDA combined singing, dancing and acting on stage, and she took rigorous courses. She lived in an tiny apartment, but her job and education prevented her from keeping the place spotless.
I wish Makoto-chan was here… Minako thought. She would keep this place clean.
“I guess being an idol isn’t all make-up and catwalks,” Artemis purred smugly. Minako threw a pillow at the white cat in reply, who nimbly dodged it.
“Shush Artemis!” she said and sat up, forming double fists. “I’ll be a big star! I’ll be famous! Just you wait! But for now – I’ll just make something to eat.”
The blonde girl entered the kitchen and fumbled through the cupboards, groaning louder and louder as each cupboard turned out to be empty.
“The bills are on the table,” the white cat pointed out, and Minako moaned.
“Gah, more bills! I can’t pay all these! My part-time job can’t cover these insane costs!”
Her stomach grumbled, interrupting the conversation and she sighed. She sat down, leaning her body on the table, pushing away the evil envelops.
“Maybe you should head back to Jap –“ Artemis tired to offer, but she slammed her hands on the table in protest.
“NEVER! NEVER NEVER NEVER,” she declared. “I worked my butt off to enter LAMDA and find my own apartment AND my own job! I will graduate and become a famous super star! Ooh, I can see it now… My name in lights…”
An awkward silence followed.
“Well… I haven’t seen my friends in such a long time,” she admitted. “I could call the restaurant manager and ask for a few weeks off… and phone the academy… That’s it! Yes! A vacation! I’ll get to see my friends! Usagi, Rei, Ami and…” wet tears poured down her cheeks “and Makoto’s cooking! I haven’t had a proper meal in forever…”
“What do you plan to do?”
“I’ll phone Usagi and tell her I’m planning to visit soon,” Minako answered then cringed when she remembered her last phone bill. “Eh… No. I’ll use the local computer café and e-mail Ami – she’s always fiddling with computers and she’ll probably get the e-mail right away. C’mon Artemis, let’s get packing!”
“But the bills –“
“DON’T MENTION THEM.”
re: Sailor Moon - Lunar Eclipse (M) (PM) (Full and active)
Rei giggled at the boy's many questions.
"Well, I suggest you don't try it, it's not that good." She sighed, remembering the very taste in vivid detail, "And, no, that was my first, and last, time. It's odd though... I don't understand, you'd think it would be almost impossible for such things to happen." She said, now drifting into a state of deep thinking.
She had to admit, it was odd. Of her state of some sense of power, many payed respect to her, why would they try to kill her with bad puffer fish? She shook the thought off, anything was possible.
At Sam's last question, she was caught off-gaurd. She blinked, letting the question soak in. She concluded the boy lived in the hospital all his life, or something like that. She gazed at him, trying to think of an answer. She knew very well there were days that were very hard, such as when she was a Sailor Scout, but the days she was a preistess were woundrous.
"Well, you can make it great, or bad, depending on your choices. But I think, it's a great place, even if it seems bad." She answered. "You'll like it, I'm sure."
OOC: In my next post I will bring Chibi-Usa in the RP.
