Well it's to get the 3 gems and 1 crystal.... I figured out that you jump on one of their backs to get up there, no prob. Now I am spending WAY too much time trying to kill the Gargon. Any advice on that???

I had problems at this point too. I figured it out. After you have killed the Mystic standing on the center platform, stand on the platform facing the force field crystal. Press your L2 and R2 together to get the crosshairs on your screen. Aim the crosshairs right on the crystal and use your magic. I used the lightening. Once the crystal is broken you can clim up the wall that was covered by the force field and get the gems needed to destroy the other crystal in the other room and retieve a new sword.
