When I type in the admin command for godmode in the consol, it only says "godmode is disabled on "player name"". What can I do to make it so that I can enable it?

The exact command I am entering (i'll use my name for example)

admin_godmode -{WW}- Wang on

OR

admin_godmode -{WW}- Wang enabled (or enable)


I've tried all I can think of and still, it doesn't work.... Thanks for any help

The actually command is "admin_godmode <target> 'on'" if you want it on and "off" if you want it off so for example you want godmode for player Bob (random example)

admin_godmode bob "on"

When you want to turn it off

admin_godmode bob "off"

Side note for those wondering this is a cheat and NOT a hack.

Do you have to be an admin to put that on or can you just be anybody that is just playing on the sever.

Yes you have to be admin to put it in (Come one.... the command is ADMIN_godmode....)

And it didn't work, even with the quotes.... Should I be putting it in the consol for my dedicated server? or the consol in the game? I haven't tried putting in it the consol for the dedicated server yet, so that could be the problem....

I tried it too and it didn't work. I even put on the "sv_cheats 1" and it still didn't work. Where do you guys get these anyway, because nothing ever works. Does it matter if you have the half-life cs mod or the cs actual game?

If you are running admin_mod with cheats enabled, then that should work. I tested the cheats a long time ago and that was how i enabled it if i remember correctly. Anyways, list all the mods you are running (if possible) and i'll see what advise i can give.

yeah, make sure funmode is on and cheats are enabled on the server. also, if on and off don't work, try 1 and 0.
for example,
admin_godmode user 1 to turn it on
admin_godmode user 0 to turn it off

i haven't used admin mod in a while myself, but that should work too.

I have NO idea what the hell I did, but somehow, everything is working proporly. The only weird thing is (actually 2 weird things....) it only lasts for one round, and you can't do anything such as buy items, plant the bomb, or pick up guns. I haven't tried it on CT, but I don't think you can defuse the bomb either.... If anyone has any idea as to how to get it to last more then one round and disable to not being able to pick stuff up bug, then please do share.

It could have been the fact that I only used enough of my name for the consol to recognise me.... OOOOOO, I may have just realised what it was.... I only used one WORD from my name.... NO SPACES!!!! admin_godmode wang on AND IT WORKED!!!! that's the only reason it was messing up.... it took the first part of your name that it would recognize and then if you had a space, it thought the next word was the command on or off. anything except on or enable turns it off so smart....

If you have spaces in your name, you can quote your name. This is just like changing your name in console. If you dont have the quotes in and you have space, the letters after the space wont show up.
