This thread is intended for people to post any cool tweaks they know of to CS. These are NOT cheats/hacks, these are legitimate settings that help make the game a little more playable.

I'll start off. All these go in the console.

hud_centerid 1 : this will make the name of the person your crosshair is on appear in the center of the screen, rather than at the lower left corner.

con_color "R G B" : This will change the color of your console text and the text at the bottom of the screen. R=Red, G=Green, B=Blue. Play around with this. The lowest you can use is 0, the highest is 255. For example,
con_color "255 255 255" would make the text in console and the chat text white.
con_color "255 0 0" would make text as red as it gets on a computer, "0 255 0" green, "0 0 255" blue, etc. Try different combinations to find a color that works for you.

setinfo "_vgui_menus" "0" - This turns off the VGUI menus (the screens that pop up when you choose which team you want to be on and when you open the buy menu). **I'm not sure if this still works with 1.6, but I'll let you know once I get around to trying. Don't see why it wouldn't...they kept it in 1.5...This is good for buy scripts. Less laggy when you're buying in a hurry.

Here are some more useful cs tweaks that improove 1.6. Good thing is the 150 fps max and the abilty to remove the rain in the new azzy.
