how do i unbann myself because i did a mistake and banned myself permanent

To let you guys know, running Winamp and playing CS can trigger VAC and ban you.



Anyway, give us some more info on what happened.. because you can't permenatly ban yourself, people ban you.

being banned from one server aint so bad, so y did he even ask?

I thinked he meant banned permanently as in he cant go to any servers.

hmm i agree that he didnt say he got banned on all servers. He said he banned himself. a VAC bann wouldnt have allowed hi mto "ban himself" perhaps he was on his own server's FTP and entered his steam ID into his banned cfg file. Stupid yes but ya kno... VAC banns r stupid anyway they dont ban your KEY like the good old WON bans used to do. You can still log into your account to play insecure servers as on WON. But the diff is you can log out and set up a new account? Oh no you cant you say that account will also be banned!!?!?!?! No it wont. When you do it it will allow you to create a new account using the same CD Key as it is associated with your system so no key entry is needed. When the new account is set up it will have a new steam ID. SO with VAC there is no actual CD-KEY ban it jus bans the ID and a new one can be made. Trust me ive heard of it happen so many times. I will personally say that i have set up 2 accounts with the same key and checked my ID's and had 2 diff ones. Altho i havent tested with hacks to see if both get banned altho apparently they shouldnt. But i wont take the risk... So unless between the time i was told this info and now VAC have changed and actually ban cd-keys they now dont just the steam-id and a new one is created with a new account from the same cd key as long as you have logged into your old account at least once on the system so your key is kept in store...

They r also gonna flame me and say dont tell gay noobie haxxors how to get bak on and hack again, but im also tellin you this info so that if you have 2 comps and 1 cd-key you can make 2 steam ID's so you can both play online at the same time in the ame server, perhaps if your are brothers in a clan etc...

Guys just calm down, chill out, the dude probably hasn't even returned to check the thread again after he made it so there is just no need to make a big deal out of it. He is probably one of those guys who appears once and forgets about the site.
