Id like 2 start a discusion about what u think about the 2 weapons and which u think is better.I want 2 get good at using 1 of em but i dont know which 1 i should use. Also any tips on how 2 get better at using them. cheers

Thanks for that info Unlock. I am alrite at using both of them. I actually think they are both good but wiv the scout i shoot sum1 and then sum1 else finishes them off steals my kill lol. whats the best way to get really good at using a certain weapon and also if you became good with one weapon and then started using a different weapon, would my skill with the first weapon decrease.

Dont use the scout its horrible unless you can decently aim for the head. When using the awp try to just poke out from behind the wall, shoot then poke back in. Dont do why you do with the other rifles by strafing and shooting or crouching.

I use both, though I'm slightly better with the AWP.
It all depends on the situation you're in; if I have enough money and I won't be moving a lot I'll get an AWP. However, if I'm somewhat short on money and need to move a lot, for instance to cover a teammate, I tend to buy the scout. It's lightweight, so you remain mobile, it reloads and fires pretty fast and packs a serious punch when you know how to use it.

So what are some tactics and strategies for using the awp and the scout.

AWP is for people who are too lazy to learn how to make skilful kills.
AWP basically is a 1-hit-kill weapon which doesn´t require a lot skill if any. Scout on the other hand does, you need to hit the enemy atleast twice or make a headshot.
If you´re trying to learn and appreciate the game choose an AWP. If you´ve gotten better aiming and enjoy the game choose Scout.

Real men use scouts

I NEVER use an awp. I think its just a cheap ass gun that requires little to no skill. The only skill required is how to handle it.

Scout requires more skill, aiming for the head or shooting them twice. It needs more skill to aim for choice A or more time to kill for choice B

It amuses to me to see comments such as these about the scout vs awp:

I say scout because of the swiftness and its cheaper but in pubs just go for the awp if u have the money.

Awp seems more easy to kill with/ more easy to control.

its just because of fire power, but you cannot keep on buying awps. Too expensive.

For one, why would you want to use a weaker weapon in a FPS...? That's like me saying, oh i'm gonna use knife because it's too easy to shoot someone long range......

AWP is undoubtebly the better gun out of the two, whether or not how "cheap" a gun is, is another story and is based on opinion. Whereas AWP being better is an actual fact ;p

If ya get out of CAL-O i'm sure you'll appreciate the awp much much more
