I guess I can play pretty well.... although most of teh Time I enjoy making plans for my rag-a-bond kinda clan. too early to call it a clan yet, but wat the hek ?? I love strat games like generals and already won the local tournament... u wanna know what the prize was????!!!! a copy of teh DII warchest.... woo hoo ANOTHER DII warchest

Anway guess that's why i enjoy the tactical aspect of this game very much. I love planning and using the colt. sadly the ak's much harder to get used to But in time i will master that gun too.

at present in CS i'm learning to.....

1) beat eveyone - other clan , in dust, dust 2, estate, italy and assault.
2) use the AK
3) use the pistols. don't laugh
4) use paigne's WOnderful Vector cancelling methord of firing. must ask him about it if you're new or havn't heard of it B4.

guess that's all for now. Sadly no good net connection so have to play in local cafes. not bad but could be better.

Why don't u make a help LINK thread. like the one in Morrowing forum neoseeker ? Imean post a link in this thread to all the other important threads..... U know like Favorite weapon, how to control burst fire, knife kills, how to buy fast, etc. I guess it would really help as it has in the MORROWIND forum of neoseekr.

Well, I'm Matt. I've been on neoseeker for a little while, not too long. I've been Playing CS way back since beta 7 when I first found out about it. I was hooked. Looks like Hito beat me to it though, beta 6.5. I am a seasoned veteran. I got Half-life when it first came out. I was raised on Doom, Quake, and Unreal. I play by the name Zippy. You may have seen me at some time most likely. I play a lot and everywhere that pings low. I've probably unknowingly played with half of you, hehe, I play too much. I played against a Professor Chaos a couple days ago I think, referencing to the person on the bottom of the first page of this post, dust 2, lots of awpers. I'm not sure if that was you.

Someone mentioned making a map? Maps are pretty easy to make. Download a program called Quark. It can build maps, models, work with pak files, works with half-life, quake, unreal, etc. The interface is easy to learn and use. Another one a lot of people use is I think WorldBuilder or Worldsomething. I don't recall the name of it. It seems more people like that program, but it's harder to use. I personally like Quark and have found no limitations with it. I haven't done any weapon modeling with it though. There's some add-on packs for Quark too. They basically expand the capabilities of Quark. I don't recall what you should download for those. It's been probably a couple years since I've used it. I'm sure it's several versions newer by now too.

The design of a map is basically an enclosed structure. You build a series of walls to make an enclosed structure. You mentioned towers and such. You just build them up. Make 4 tall walls, cut some holes, and add a ladder. There's a ladder trigger that you use, so you can actually climb up it. You'll learn how to do it. Just play with stuff. There are guides and such on-line. You can use Quarks Help for figuring out what triggers do what. Start off with a simple map and play with lighting and triggers. Get used to how things work.
