I bought this game for my daughter about 3 weeks ago, I was an avid gamer when I was younger.. I guess it's been a while, but we CANNOT figure out what to do in the castle.. what do I do to get the game started? I've been all over the outside all over the inside.. in the two wooden doors, out to the garden area and can find NOTHING!! I've even climbed trees outside the castle to see if I can find anything. Any help???

The premise of the game is to gain access to the areas of the castle by gaining the required number of stars for the doors. In these areas, there will be giant paintings that, when jumped into, will take you to different worlds/levels.

There are seven stars in each level to obtain, each with their own unique prerequisites. One star can be acquired by defeating a boss on the summit of a mountain while another appears once you've collected 100 coins.

Jump into the bobomb painting.

When you enter the castle, you go left and see small stairs with a door. Go in that door, and you see a painting, jump in. Make sure to talk to everyone to know what to do, or simply find a walkthrough on www.gamefaqs.com to make it easier for yourself

Go inside the castle, go to the room with a star on the door jump into the painting, run up the mountain, pick up the bomb-omb (with B) 3 times and he'll give you a star
