Actually the best car in the game is the '95 GTO Twinturbo (aka 3000GT). Not only does it have 950+ horsepower, it will go 256 and handles like a dream.

I have the five or six fastest cars on the game- most of them are GTO's, all different. The Skyline is number four, I think.

No car has 950+ hp. The best car IMO is FTO LM edition.

I have different choices depending on drivetrain. For FF, it's the Mitsubishi FTO GP version R. My FR fave is the Concept car, the best 4WD is the FTO, and my fave MR is the NSX Type S Zero. And yeah, no car has over 950hp. The closest is the Nissan Skyline GT-R Vspec.

Now, there are several "best" cars in this game, each with a different purpose, and in the hands of a skilled driver they can all keep up with each other.

The fastest car I find is the GTO TwinTurbo, it has like 900 and something Horsepower and can get up to 396 km/h.

The best car is actually a tie. 10 years ago I did a series of tests and the concept car tied with the 95 skyline gtr v-spec. The Skyline had the power (951 hp), but the concept had the best power to wt.(2.5lbs to hp). The Toyota Supra had the best torque to wt ratio @ 3.0lbs to torque which is great for top speed. The Skyline needed a sixth gear, that would have put it on top. The Concept car has the handling.

in GT2 i think Suzuki Escudo was best of all , handling great , acceleration great , car it self great.
