Whoa. The Germans were working on a stealth fighter in the 1980's. They had a 3/4 size model built and were doing wind tunnel tests. The name of the aircraft was 'Lampyridae' which is German for 'Firefly'.

Obviously West Germany since the East was basically under Soviet control, so it would have been a Russian project.
Not very surprising really, the idea of a stealth aircraft wasn't anythng new at that point of time and Deutchland has a history of developing experimental things (The X-31 was a joint US/German project) They were certaintly working on something of a much smaller scale than the F-117. ------------------- The Yo-Yo is very difficult to explain. the F-117 had been around for a while when this thing was becuase i know the F-117 took place in the invasion of panama i think it was
