If you're talking about how Square-Enix has dropped the trademark for "Chrono Break", then I want to say that most people I've talked to believe that this is because SE wants to re-register the name as "Chrono Brake", the name that they still have copyrighted in Japan. I heard that the term can be Romanized to either "Break" or "Brake", but in the context of the Chrono series, it makes more sense that the name would be Chrono Break. The reason is that both Chrono game titles have referred to an actual object in the game, and I don't think that a "Chrono Break" would make sense as an object.

...But why not leave the trademark? it's a simple name unless they're planning to do something big, why would they announce the fact like they're giving up on Chrono Break? or they will only release it in Japan or something.

In my opinion, Chrono Break looks like a way better title then Chrono Brake. I dont know. I heard they were cancelling the project or something.
Maybe theyre just going to release it in japan.
I hope not. Id like to play it.

I agree, a title like Chrono Brake only means that you will want to take a brake from playing it because it sucks like Chrono Cross...

I don't understand why so many peaple think that CC sucks. CT is better, but they are both great games IMO. Anyway, CB is going to be a very good game if they make it. I just hope they decide to release it here in the U.S.

About the title, maybe there's like... a break in the thing that holds the dimensions together or something. Eh, never mind. ^^'

If it comes out on any new consoles my guess would be PS2 because X-box is Sega and Square is in wiht Sony for a couple more years they wont start makeing stuff for other consoles(CONTRACT)

Xbox is Microsoft, not Sega.

I just played Chrono Trigger by using Emulator, I have GC, I really hope Square start making some games for GC, I ean they did made games for Nintendo before, and only reason they start make game to PS is because back then they wanted to make 3d FF. I mean now GC can do better for Square enix, I mean it could and maybe sell more game... Dame I shouldn't have sold my PS2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only if I knew new Chrono game is coming out before I sold it....

2. i think Brake works. it implies 'slamming the brakes' on time. if time stopped, that would be trippy, and would make for some cool events.

Break or Brake it doesn't matter much to me, I would rather like to know if the game is official or not. Seriously it's been 4 years now and still no confirmation which to me doesn't go well for this title making a release in Japan as Chrono Brake or North America as Chrono Break.
