I think that Frog is cool and all...but He is a Frog, I would prefer I use Marle over Frog anyday...

I don't know if anyone is still followling this thread but I just want to clarify something about weapons and attack power. Basically, a weapon will change your physical attack power, that's a given. Techs that are classified as physical in nature (for example, Frog's Leap Slash and Crono's Confuse) are calculated off of the AP and therefore will be affected by your weapon. Techs that are magical in nature (Frog's Water and Crono's Luminaire) will not be affected by your weapon unless it also affects the character's magic stat (Crono's Red Katana, for example). Additional explainer: the triple tech involving Crono, Marle, and Robo called Lifeline doesn't heal anyone. What it does is automatically bring back to life characters that are knocked out after the spell is cast. This only works once per character. This is basically equivalent to the Life 3 spell for those that play any FFs.

As for who I prefer, I say that I really like using them both along with Crono. Marle and Frog make a good defensive combo, with their Double Cure being able to heal the entire party for all their HP most of the time. Very useful in the battle vs. Lavos, as well as the battles with Zeal (man, I hate Hallation). So, to answer the question, I say use them both!

I like both of them too. Frog was the secondary attacker to Crono, while Marle is good at curing. Also she is a princess, so about the same.

I prefer to use Frog. He was stronger, and Im the type of slash'em up guy, instead of a magic-user.
I also like Frog because he is a knight. WHich I prefer more to a Princess. I prefer a normal girl to a princess actually. Princess's are too... princessy.

What do you mean? Just compare Marle to Garnet and see who is more Princess like.

What does this have to do with FF9?
In FF9, its the same. I rather use people like Amarant or Freya then Her.
And in Chrono Trigger, I rather use Frog, Magus, or Ayla...

I know, I don't use her either, though Marle is not your typical princess that always hang around the castle untill she is 16...

Frog is a good character, so is Ayla, so is Magus, lets not forget Crono, Marle does help out when she is needed, Im sure she was the one that can use Haste and Full-life, something frog can do

Yeah, she has useful spells, but she has the lowest stats. Her highest stat is Magic Defense, which is good but only against magic users.
Ayla, Robo, and Frog all have healing spells as well, Its just Marles Final spell is the strongest healing spell.

I know, but I never use Robo... Crono, Magus, and Frog are the strongest Attackers, Though Ayla is strong, Marle is probubly after here but she's also good at curing ang stuff.

Marle specializes in healing and her offensive spells arent bad, but her attack is the weakest of all the characters.
I rather use frog, because his attack is really strong, and while not as great as Marles, he still has curing spells as well as his water spells.

I think i would use frog too...only cuz he can cure a little too and i think hes cool............bloooh!

I don't know why, But I didn't like Frog as much.

Though he is Glenn, and acts like he is very Brave. There was already a main character, Crono

Marle was cool, Im sure her last attack is much more useful then Frogs...

I didnt like Marles final spell. Its like Life except it heals more. Frog's Frog Squash rules!

Maybe "Frog Squash" rule's for some people, I thought his Final Attack wouldn't be such a Joka Skill and Rival Luminaire.

Even Magus' Dark Matter Attack is almost as Awesome as Crono's Luminaire. Im sure Life2 is really useful...

Frog Squash in some cases, does more then Luminaire or Dark Matter.

If Frog is strong enough, or if his HP is maxed out, and his HP is below 100, using Frog Squash can deal 3000-5000 damage.

Try to knock that Marle.


But I agree, Life2 can be useful sometimes, but like I said before, I rather use slash-em up guys like Frog who can also use healing spells.
