Befw11s4 as a repeater or a bridge... |

I have two Linksys Befw11s4 routers and i am trying to find out if there is a way to configure on of them to repeat the signal from the other one, because i have some dead spots around my house since its a two story house. PLEASE HELP.. | |

By default, the AP you have doesn't support bridging. I'm looking for a firmware update, either from LinkSys or Third Party myself. Even being the case, it is impossible for an AP to work both as a bridge and Client AP. Bridging is for P-to-P telecom and clients will not associate. If you are having range problems in your home, there are antenna that can be purchased on the open market that would probably solve your problem. Google search for Linksys BEFW11S4 Antenna. I found results with the correct antenna adaptors. By the way, the antenna are removable even though the specs say they are not. They are threaded. Apply Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosy. May need a little encouragement. | |
