My opinion on the swap out of the soundtracks and why!

Now we know the ''rare'' sonic game AKA sonic Cd for sega CD and the Sonic Gems version for gamecube and the audio track sounds pretty good too! But once sonic fans heard the Japenese version of sonic cd it was different and it sounds a lot better than the Us version. So the ? is why did they change it? many fans were dissapionted (like me ) But the composer of the US track Spencer Nilsen Says''it's localization and the JP music probably won't click to the US players''.....Hello!?! This isn't a CD being sold in music stores nor being played at a concert ( though htey did made one called sonic boom) but still they messed up the originallity of the game. Not to mention some of the song had bad lyrics and horrible guitar solos. I'm just surprise he didn't messed with the past tunes which were leftover from the JP version.(which explains why I like them so much especailly stardust speedway past!!!) A week a ago I spent my entire weekend listing the JP version of Sonic Cd I spent listing to onthe weekend which is still stuck in my head. However it was such a great soundtrack and would b e better if it was played in the game! To listen to them go to google and type in sonic cd freewebs it should give some sort of link were u can download on ur windows media player however you can burn or sync them so u have to record them. i did it by my mp3 and my tape player. careful about the JP stardust speedway levels they are insanly addicting and it sound like a jam/dance/hip-hoppy tune I still have it stuck in my head and yes it's that good the whle JP soundtrack. plus did they ever change the music in the US in other sonic game they certaintly did not so why do it to sonic cd.....good point eh!

re: My opinion on the swap out of the soundtracks and why!

You have also forgotten European version as well as it had the same tracks as the Japanese version as well when it was originally released, and it would be down to development ie. saving money on development costs/development time probably.

That's the only thing I can think of.
