Fastest methods of getting fit |
|
I was looking at military career choiced the other day, then I got on to marines and stuff, and while I doubt I will go for stuff like that - it got me thinking, I'm pretty out of shape and would like to get in to shape pretty fast. What are the best methods. I haven't gone running in god knows how long and the last time I went on a threadmill I almost blacked out after about 8-9 minutes of it. Lol. Are there any good methods that people can suggest of getting fit and fast, maybe a recommended routine or is it something I will have to persist with? I'm not overweight at all btw.

Here's what I've learned
1.Intensive Cardio Training: These are different than jogging for hours and hours at a steady pace. It is believed that if you do regular jogging (steady pace; long distance), your body will learn to build up stamina... but not the way you expect, it would learn to eat itself. I was told: "look at the olympic runners... they're extremely skinny, this is tdue to the fact that they train like this." Intensive cardio is different because it requires you to speed up. Here's one example of this: 1. Warm up 2. Jog for 2 minutes 3. For the next 2 minutes sprint 4. Slow back down to jogging speed 5. Speed back up to sprinting speed etc This will also help you burn fat and keep your matabolism moving even after you stop.. I learned it from an article I found called "how to burn fat while asleep" or something >.< ------------------- Profile|NeoHome|NowPlaying|Reviews|GuestBook ![]()

OMG! I haven't seen you around in a hell of a long time. How have you been?
But anyways, before answering, I want to know what your ultimate goal is? Is it just to get fit? Lean out? Tone? Gain Muscle? Stuff along those lines. ------------------- ![]()

Fat burn and fitness gain. Toning and muscle gaining isn't a problem.

quote IncidniaDo this if you want to see a six-pack.. from what I know.. everyone has one.. but it's hidden below fat (which depends on how much you have). If you want a six pack, worry about burning fat, not endless abs excersises and wonder why you don't see it! ------------------- Profile|NeoHome|NowPlaying|Reviews|GuestBook ![]()

quote NSXThat would make it a lot easier ^.^ More muscles you have, the higher your matabolism or something.. meaning the faster you burn the fat >:] ------------------- Profile|NeoHome|NowPlaying|Reviews|GuestBook ![]()

That is correct, and is one of the prime reasons why muscular training is far better for your fitness in the long term.

I think it's around 2-3 weeks without any excersise at all to the muscle group. Fortunately you do enough work in your day-to-day routing usually to maintain atleast a healthy amount of muscle, unless you sit down and do literally nothing all day.

It really depends on how you built the muscle in the first place. Building mass and then being inactive causes it to deteriorate quicker. Endurance weight training, to make lean, smaller muscles stay around longer.

I am aiming to lower my bodfat percentage and/or replace it with muscle. I am trying to get down to either 12 or 10% bodyfat.

re: Fastest methods of getting fit |
quote IshyAll I know is that if you don't eat enough protein after a work out, your body kinda break down muscles from an area you didn't train, and move it to the area that needs it.. So if you walk alot and stuff, and don't eat protein, I'm not sure, but your upper body might break down for your legs NOT SURE. ------------------- Profile|NeoHome|NowPlaying|Reviews|GuestBook ![]()
