Lol, for as far as I can remember, I haven't been able to wink with my left eye, I have been able to however with my right with ease for years. I first cared about it when was shooting once, and had to use an eyepatch. It's just struck me as one of those things I neglect, and I really wanna know why I can't now. And is there a method to sorting it out? Lol.

Its just practice. If somebody grew up only ever using the right side of their mouth the chew then they won't be able to chew with their left, its the same with winking.

Winking is actually genetic. It requires a complex set of muscle movements in a very specific order. Not every one has that degree of muscular control.

Many people who can wink are limited to a single eye. I can wink with my left but not with my right.

Additionally, muscle injuries or surgical intervention can affect the ability to wink with either eye.

I've always been able to wink with both.

You're fortunate. Most people can't.

I cannot do the eyebrow raise with my left eyebrow, but it feels easier to do with my right eyebrow. It's like my face is frozen lol.

It's easier for me to close my right eye rather than my left, but it seems like it's been getting easier to close my left eye the more I do it.

the same can also be said (i think) for people learning the lat spread. I know some dudes who do pull ups with +60 lbs yet for the life of them cannot flex their lats.

I canwink both of my eyes no problem, and I can raise both eyebrows independently (or both high at the same time if I want to look like a fool).

I can also waggle my ears a bit.

I dunno about winking, but it takes practice to move eyebrows/ears. Gotta build up them tiny muscles and get em in practice. In fact, I was only able to raise one eyebrow for a long time (I didn't bother with the other). But the raised eyebrow ability has amused some people XD
