I know this board is extremely old, and so is this game. But it is just amazing. The replay value is up in the thousands, and I can't not go back to it. I have been debating whether to program my own version, and now I have finally decided to do so. However, there are a few problems.

First off, I give up on things very easily. Especially programming projects. But I REALLY want to do this. I need encouragement! If anyone ever happens upon this board again and wants this game, email me at unknown17432@yahoo.com to encourage me to finish it! I'll even send you the game when/if it is done.

Secondly, I am not a master programmer. Yes, I should probably program this game in C++, but I use Java. I need help with just a couple of things. Right now, I need to find out how to SAVE A GAME. I know about sterilization(or whatever its called), but I don't know how it works or if it will truly work to save the game. A little bit about the game:
Again, I'm no master programmer. The game is coming along smoothly. There will be NO GRAPHICS, however, because:
1) I can't make good graphics in JAVA
2) I want to make the game blind-accessible (No I am not blind)
The game will have at least 50 weapons and at least 40 reflectors. Yes, 40 reflectors. Not 39. The game will have all of the original species, and will have the super-mega-special-unlockable-chocolate-coated SPYDER. Sweet. Too bad you won't actually get to SEE IT (No graphics).
Also, I plan to have new ways to train, more enemies, and more stuff to do. Especially in terms of making money. Money is hard to come by! Training is going to be a pain since there are no graphics (I can't use the cool block-selection special training).

I hope SOMEONE out there will want this. Nobody (even my friends) seem to care that much. It is my sheer want of this game that keeps me going.
