 Release Dates: Super Mario Galaxy was the first 3D platform game that was released on the Nintendo Wii console back in 2007. It was set to be a launch title for the Wii but push back a year. It has been hailed as the best game of all time by several gaming sites. As you may of noticed, the game takes place in space and you of course have to rescue the princess by the menacing King Koopa Bowser. There is a 2nd game in the works and set to release next year but of course we're not here to talk about it, we're here to talk about Super Mario Galaxy! -------------------  "When you go astray, I'll be there to punch you back." | |

 That's pretty interesting. Anyway, this game is pretty much my favorite Wii game of all time......for now. I really love the orchestrated soundtrack. I can't believe this game was released 2 years ago already. This was the only game I bought, only to find out moments later that there was NO disc inside. I returned the game to the store and they immediately gave me a new copy with the actual CD inside, so I'm glad that worked out. This is my favorite out of the three Mario 3D platformer games. Traveling through space was a really cool idea for Mario and I enjoyed many of the levels. I can't wait for Super Mario Galaxy 2.

I never ended up playing this game. I think I subconsciously decided that every mario game after Mario Kart 64 would be crap by comparison..

I personally liked Super Mario 64 better than Mario Galaxy, but that's just my preference. And I even played Galaxy before 64, since I never had owned 64 before I bought it on the Wii.

I prefer Mario 64 over Galaxy. I've only played through Galaxy once. The space theme is a great idea and it is a great game but I like Mario 64 more.

I just don't like Super Mario 64 as much most Mario fans. But don't get me wrong, I still like it and I like it more than Super Mario Sunshine.

I actually don't like Super Mario 64 at all. I didn't really bother finishing it. I prefer Sunshine to it. Of course I prefer Galaxy to both.

I like Mario 64 more than Galaxy but not to the point where I'd overhype it as the best Mario game ever(That's SMRPG:LOSS).
I actually bought Sunshine, I'm gonna replay Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy so I'm gonna give a better opinion on all three of them when I beat them(If I do 100%, it could be months). ------------------- "When you go astray, I'll be there to punch you back." | |

quote KuhnI'm just going to say: Don't 100% Sunshine. That's almost impossible. It has maybe the highest difficulty level of a Mario game that I've EVER played, and I've played quite a few.  Really, I'd love to see Super Mario Sunshine as the GOTM one month. It'd be awesome. Super Mario Galaxy is just an amazing game though. I don't know why I liked it so much, but I did. I think what I really liked about it was how you could skate if you were on ice, and that could be done even easier with the Ice Flower. All you had to do is spin (maybe while moving) and you'd be skating. | |

I just watched an LP of Sunshine, I know where all of the Sprites are and blue coins. And I could just look at that LP if I need tips on some stuff. Looks hard but challenging.
Galaxy was pretty good. Just not as great as some people made it out to be. The Ice Flower was a pretty good addition to have and the Bee Suit was new and wacky but fun. ------------------- "When you go astray, I'll be there to punch you back." | |
