Have any of you experianced players tried DMD mode BEGINNING (meaning you start out CLEAN, with a teeny life bar and 1 vital star) using only sparda? I haven't made it past mission 4 yet...CRAZY!!!


Btw...it's strange how Nightmare Beta looks exactly like Nightmare (without the skulls). Any other tiny quirks?

Well I didn't use any items on DMD until Nightmare 3 or Mundus, I can't remember, and I only used Sparda but my lifebar was pretty long.

Hmm, sounds, ridiculously difficult, insane, and almost impossible, I'll have to try it sometime .

It's not as hard as it seems when your goal is not to be hit instead of surviving a fight. Of course a little practice is needed.


I like to make avatars blink, I don't know why.

Do you know the difference between blinking and winking? People dont BLINK at you.

LOL, hope you raise a good profit , and I do find it a little weird when you get winking avatars, but not much weirder than a lot of stuff for me.

Uh, actually, I have. Its not as hard as you'd think, as long as you've mastered Dante's fighting ability with no addons (ie air raid, inferno etc..). Spend all of your initial red orbs on health and DT runes, and when they become too expensive, then start buying moves. It also helps, if you get stuck, to beat Phantom in the hallway a few times in a row (run down the hall, kill him, pick up the 600 orbs, save, reset, kill him again) to get an extra boost in your orb count.

BTW anyone looking for a further challenge, the hardest thing I've come up with to do is beat Mundas on DMD mode by starting out on DMD mode like Aya said above, with normal Dante and using no items. I've ony been able to do it twice and I don't know anyone else who has...

Thats another thing I'll have to try, stop getting ahead of me! LOL, phew I have lots of work to do...

We should add more to the challenge, actually..I'll see if I can do it and somehow devise a way to take homemade screen shots to prove it or something.

I'm thinking start a new game on Dante Must Die! mode, using regular Dante, beat the entire mode using no items (including yellow orbs), and only using Alastor and the Handguns.

Don't ask how I'll prove it..maybe we'll find out the max number of yellow orbs you can have and then ill take a picture of the screen showing the ones ive collected or something?
