I've also posted this in the X-Box Shenmue II Forum HD's Storyline for Shenmue III; Ryo will most probably head back to Hong Kong with Sha Hua to the Man Mo Temple in Scarlet Hills to consult Tao Li Sho and Yuanda Zhu and discuss his findings and at some point try to contact Fuku-San and Ine-San back home in Japan. The phone lines at the dojo are down.... Later that same night, at a group gathering led by Xiuying Hong(Master Tao), including Yuanda Zhu, Joy, and The Heavens Gang with Ren, where they'll discuss how to find out where the Chiyoumens main headquarters are and how to infiltrate it, they'll be ambushed by the triad gang...let by Chai! After defeating the gang (in an AMAZING cqte battle!) involving all the key members of the game, Chai will try to escape, but will be stopped in his tracks by non-other than Gui Zhang, who's been monitoring and following in Chai's movements since Ryo left for Hong Kong. They'll interrogate Chai, who will leak information about where the headquarters of the Elite Chiyoumen members are, and give names as to the identity of the leaders, to which Tao-Li-Sho will ponder over, thinking again of her long-lost brother Ziming. Chai will then taunt Ryo, saying that Master Lan-Di-San has almost successfully discovered the secrets of the Dragon Mirror, and that Ryo had better hand over the Pheonix Mirror before "others" are hurt as well. Shocked at the hidden meaning behind these words, further interrogation from Ryo will force Chai to confess that Ryo's home and dojo have been burned down, and that Ine-San and Fuku-San have been killed, much to Chai's delight. Saddened and angered by the news, a one-on-one battle between Ryo and Chai will assume. After beating Chai to the point of near death in his angered state, Ryo will be calmed by Chai's sudden statement that Nozomi has been kidnapped!! And that he'll tell Ryo where she is being kept in Japan if he lets him live. Ryo now is torn between rescuing Nozomi back in Japan, or continuing his quest to stop the Chiyoumen in Hong Kong, and seek his revenge upon Lan-Di. ............................................................ I hope this will attract some much needed ppd around here  feel free to post your own ideas on what events will transpire should Shenmue III be released.-------------------

remember reading that about year ago, very good, realistic aswell, i posted one aswell about two years ago, cant remember all of it though, i said they would follow lan di to the chiyoumen base in taiwan and had kidnapped shenhuas father. did you post that at the shenmue dojo aswell?

Concerning Gui Zhang, I think he will head to Hong Kong and meet up with Joy. One way or another he'll find out that Joy and co have met Ryo while he was in Hong Kong (probably will see the photo of Joy and Ryo). Ren offers to sell him the info about where Ryo is now but Joy tells Gui Zhang before Ren can get very far with that

Very good ideas on the future direction of Shenmue, but i dont know about Nozomi being kidnapped with her easily reaching Canada with the amount of time Ryo spent in Hong Kong / Guilin. Also if she was or the dojo was to be burned down how would Ryo find out? I dont remember seeing any telephones or even mail offices in Guilin and also Inesan or Fukusan dont even have a clue where in the hell Ryo is. Master Chens son will find Ryo, and this is the reason why we are shown that she has links to Joy, so ovbiously hes going to find him with joy instructing Ren to take him to Bailu village, where Ryo is headed. I think that when ryo gets to bailu village, hel find Gui Zhang waiting for him with Ren in tag.
I think that the mystery mountains where people have gone but never return, that Shenhua talked about have definately something to do with the Chioyumen. Its just too coincidential for my liking. Like i said before in a previous post, i think the game is going from the F.R.E.E. type of game to a more final fantasyesque type. We were given fair warning of this by the antiques dealer in Dobuita who first told Ryo about the reason for the mirrors. Then we seen this transaction in the sequal with Zu Yundas mirror trick and the supernatural links with the sword of seven stars and the phoenix mirror. I think eventually, Ryo will get to lan di but realises he cant beat him. Lan di will get both the mirrors easily off Ryo during this fight and resurrect this dragon thats supposed to devour the earth. But with Ryos father (and perhaps someone else who is supposed to die as the series go on), watching from above, the phoenix will descend and defeat the dragon, thus robbing lan di of his powers and enabling Ryo to beat the life out of him. I think there will be tragedy in the very end of the Shenmue story, but of course, its debate wether we will ever see the endind at all. Chai probably had Nozomi taken long before she could reach Canada as insurance for Ryo's co-operation in handing over the Pheonix Mirror. as i said before, the rest is explained in my initial post on the subject if you read it through quote Peter C i dont recall hearing about those mountains (that Sha Hua girl said ALOT in her walk with Ryo y'know!), but it's an interesting theory nonetheless Peter This message was edited by Heros Destiny on Feb 18 2004. -------------------

Ah Hero my fine friend, apologies on the mistakes there in my post. On good idea for this forum topic by the way
Hhhhhmmmmm in in two minds about the game going back to Dobuita though. Firstly i think it would be amazing to back and see everyone again. Also it would keep the game in the original F.R.E.E. genre, specially created for the game in the first place. With this journey to Guilin, the games taken a far more linear style, simply walking along a path, to a house, another path to a small cave, and there it ended. Despite Bailu village being a bit more open, id say there wouldnt be much to explore there in Shenmue 3. This point does add to your idea of finding out some more significant things about the mirror, then heading back to Scarlet Hills, hopefully rather sharply. One point that HAS to happen IS Ryo fighting Lan di. This event, in my view anyway has to happen. Rumors have been flying about on this taking place in the Hazuki dojo. Again id be in two minds about this because it would be good to see the story end there, where it all started and also where Ryo lost his father, but in my view the dojo is way too small and perhaps a little too bland and non interesting for that "final battle" to take place. As i was saying, oh and Shenhua does speak of these dark mysterious mountains just before you reach her house, but i think that this is where the Chiyoumen have their main building. It seems that central characters are all connected in some way and id say its the Chiyoumen that connect them all. Ryos father got killed by the Chiyoumen, its expected that Xiuying's brother joined the Chiyoumen covert to find out if it was the Chiyoumen responsible for making both hin and Xiuying orphans, and also Shenhuas mother and father were killed when she was a child, surely in connection with the Chiyoumen, if its believed that her and Ryo have met due to destiny. In my mind, the final battle between Lan di and Ryo had these images and events: it took place in an extragivant, dark marble room of the Chiyoumen headquarters with both members of the Chiyoumen (possiblity this character known as Nio Sun in attendance) and also Ryos friends. Ryo was unable to beat Lan di, and as a result, Lan di gets hold of the Phoenix Mirror. The only reason that Lan di wants the two mirrors is for the location of the Quang Dynasty treasure, and either dosnt know or dosnt care that the joining of the two mirrors also resurrects the Chiyou to devour the world. Perhaps Lan di knows that Chiyou will resurrect and devour the earth but will have Lan di spared and by its side, but as the Legend goes "A dragon will emerge from the earth and dark clouds obscures the heavens". In connecting the two mirrors in his hands, a shock of magical force writhers through Lan di's body, causing him to throw the mirrors apart and judder in a "Jesus being Crucified" position as Chiyou resurrects (the effects onLan di here should be bad, as thats what his intentions are). In all of the commotion, Ryo, near death crawls to each of the mirrors, and just as Chiyou has fully resurrected, and manages to join the two mirrors together once again, but with Ryo's intentions being good, "A phoenix shall descend from above, it's wings will create a purple wind. In the midst of a pitch black night, a mourning star shall glisten, alone ..................." with the Phoenix destroying the risen Chiyou, and saving the world, Ryo is now back to full health and Lan di is stripped of the style that he, as i think magically possessed. Now its a fair fight to which you will have control. In the end itl be QTES a plenty, with im sure ryo finishing off Lan di with either a move taught to Ryo by either his father or Xiuying. There ya go folks theres a snippet of how perhaps the story will conclude, of course i could be wrong but who knows!!! I just hope we bloody find out. Well Hero any news on Shenmue 3. ANYTHING AT ALL, WER DESPERATE!!!!! Oh and one more thing, do you not think these forums are a bit empty? For a game that claims to have such a huge fanbase, where are you all!?!?!?!? If I may,
I "told" Ryo to sleep 4 times during my playthrough of Shenmue II. F.R.E.E. is dead. Move on. Its now much more fluid. We cant predict what will happen in the next game - I wouldn't have predicted the magic stuff at the end five min. before hand, for crissake! (I'm still not sure what that is all about...) Having said that, If Ryo doesn't let Lan Di "die like a warrior" I'm going to be very upset  And I'm sure the Joy/Nazomi photos are identical for a reason... Heck, maybe his check will finaly heal, and we can get rid of that stupid band-aid! | |

love the storylines that people have come up with but no one has said anyhing about the lass ryo met at the end (i think she was called shenhua i remember also that she had a shenmue three in her garden)no on said anything about her going with him as she said she would
i would also add that i only played the dc version so what i saw may be differant to the x-box version | |

There aren't any major differences between the Xbox and Dreamcast versions. Only the Xbox has English voices and the inclusion of a camera feature.

No Ryan, no differences apart form those given by good ol' Lan Di Sama above, oh another difference is ovbiously, since it's the Xbox, the games all on the one disc, but joined by a second disc, which contains a kick ass movie made up of cutscenes from the first.

 yes i think you are right but all i hope is that shenmue will cotinue and we will stop excitingly predicting what will happen and get to see what will really happen just think as soon as shenmue 3 is over it maybe continued again and we will then be predicting what will happen in shenmue4.[link name=][/link] | |

I hadn't considered XiuYing coming to Ryo's aid in the "final confrontation", I think perhaps Ren and GuiZhang will help Ryo out once again though.
