Lara aging |

Okay, I appreciate authenticity, and I think "real-ness" is a quality a game should have.
Guess what - every time I talk about this game - a HUGE BUTT, oops BUT gets in the way. so, without further aplomb or ado: But, I don't like reality interfering with speed of movement. 1) How many of you used to fall down ladders grabbing, and grabbing as you dropped - no more, oh worthless fan and owner of all other games Lara Croft, you have to enjoy and w.....a....i.....t for the clever little graphics of Lara grabbing a ladder and gettting her bearings before dropping again. And no more going to the end of a broken up ladder, sh has to now stay just high enough to commit suicide by ladder if she lets go. Range of motion - Lara stopped going to yoga, and osteoporosis is setting in, joints calcifying? 2) What happened to the handstands, the leaping roll-around, the dive, or even the leaping runnning twist? To be honest, I would be happy with a running jump. I understand moving Lara backwards would make for unrealism, when jumping. Yes, I do. After all, one step back doesn't always give you the right amount of running room you need to clear a gap. Instead, it is much nicer to fubmle with the bad turnaround control of the Eidos crowned "Pop-culture phenom diva" and fall to your death on a badly aimed, timed or framed death. Common sense, or arthritic, carpal tunnel wrists? 3) Can you hold a gun and be stealthy? I know I can't - when I have a gun - I have to be spraying fools! 4) I doubt I am able to hold a gun while sprinting, either, sort of like running with scissors - safety on, safety first Lara! Nothing like fleeing for your life and leaving yourself unprotected. 5) Once again, it is unsafe to jump and shoot, but then again i am not dealing with the "sleeper" nephili. Maybe Lara is just aging. I think she might be starting to sag. IMO, save your realism for Curtis Trent Reznor Redfield's game, not for TR. I want the old Lara back! But - there's that word again - i am enjoying the game - but it still feels tedious. ------------------- quote KngAlaric | |

I can't believe how weak Lara is at the start of the game. She use to push around large stone blocks in the previous Tomb Raiders and now she has trouble opening simple doors and moving barrels. Is she still recuperating after the Egypt incident?
