Got this from Way Back Machine, Archive.org -

Japanese Mountain Stream

Target: Yamame, Rainbow Trout, Iwana

Rod: Trout

Reel & Line: Trout

Lure: Spinner

Temp: NA

Objective A: Catch 4 Yamame to unlock Japanese River.

Where to look: Fish are plentiful on this level, but there are always some yamame near the rock outcropping on the left.

Japanese River

Target: Iwana, Amemasu

Rod: Trout

Reel & Line: Trout

Lure: Spoon

Temp: 46F

Objective A: Catch any 8 fish to unlock the Japanese Mountain Lake.

Objective B: Catch any 8 fish for half of the requirements to unlock Pantanal, South America.

Where to look: On the left side, about the halfway mark on the rocks where the water flows off the left side of the screen

Japanese Mountain Lake

Target: Black Bass

Other Fish: Blue Gill, Rainbow Trout

Rod: Bass

Reel & Line: Bass

Lure: Crankbait

Temp: 51F

Objective A: Catch 8 black bass to unlock North American Pond.

Where to look: Cast medium to shallow on the extreme right hand side to avoid the blue gills and find the black bass.

North American Pond

Target: Black Bass

Other Fish: Blue Gill

Rod: Any Bass

Reel & Line: Any Bass

Lure: Crankbait C

Temp: 62F

Objective A: Catch 16 of any fish to unlock North American River, blue gills will prove much easier to catch.

Objective B: Catch a black bass over 50cm to unlock North American Reservoir.

Objective C: Catch a black bass over 70cm for one third of the requirements to unlock Middle Amazon.

Where to look: On the left side, cast halfway out in the shadow of the trees. Watch for blue gills and check for bass in the area when reeling in blue gills. Once you have the Long Range Bass Rod you can reach the bass off in the distance, on the right side.

North American Reservoir

Target: Black Bass

Other Fish: Blue Gill

Rod: Long casting bass or expert

Reel & Line: Any Bass

Lure: Crankbait C

Temp: 62F

Objective A: Unknown

Where to look: Along the shoreline on the right side, between dead center of the screen and the reeds on the right.

North American River (Mountains)

Target: King Salmon

Rod: Any heavy rod

Reel & Line: Any heavy line

Lure: Suspended Minnow A

Temp: NA

Objective A: Catch 8 king salmon to unlock New Zealand River 1.

Objective B: Catch a king salmon over 100cm to unlock North American Highland River.

Where to look: Salmon are everywhere, but the biggest that I have found are dead center, as far as you can cast.

North American Highland River

Target: Rainbow Trout, Steelhead

Rod: Super Trout

Reel & Line: Heavy Trout

Lure: Spinner A

Temp: NA

Objective A: Catch a steelhead over 100cm to unlock Canadian Lake.

Objective B: Catch a steelhead over 120cm for one third of the requirements to unlock Middle Amazon.

Where to look: Cast out to the center most point of the bridge, trout are near the bridge itself and steelhead just a bit closer in. It should be no problem to pull in steelhead well over the requirements for either level objective.

Canadian Lake

Target: Northern Pike

Other Fish: Rainbow Trout

Rod: Expert

Reel & Line: Heavy Trout

Lure: Metal Jig C (Not Minnows, as suggested)

Temp: 44F

Objective A: Catch 4 northern pike to unlock Australian River.

Where to look: Rainbow trout are everywhere here, catch a few to pick up some extra lures; then cast just to the right of center, all the way back, and you'll find the northern pike.

Australian River

Target: Barramunda

Rod: Heavy Bass

Reel & Line: Heavy Bass

Lure: Bopper C

Temp: 87F

Objective A: Catch a Barramunda over 50cm for half of the requirements to unlock The Amazon.

Where to look: Either side of the river has a school of Barramunda, but I've found the largest on the extreme right side, halfway back.

New Zealand River 1

Target: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout

Rod: Expert

Reel & Line: Heavy Trout

Lure: Spoon A

Temp: 48F

Objective A: Catch either a rainbow or brown trout over 60cm to unlock New Zealand River 2.

Objective B: You'll need to catch a few brown trout so that you can find the Frog lure, which is required to catch the elusive Piracucu once you reach the Amazon level.

Where to look: A shallow cast either right or left of center will put you near the larger trout.

Target: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout

Rod: Super Trout

Reel & Line: Heavy Trout

Lure: Spoon D

Temp: 50F

Objective A: Catch a rainbow or brown trout over 70cm for half of the requirements to unlock The Amazon

Other Fish: Yellow Piranha

Rod: Heavy Bass

Reel & Line: Monster

Lure: Frog B

Temp: 78F

Objective A: Catch a single Piracucu to unlock the Middle Amazon.

Where to look: Just to the right of the vegetation jutting out from the left side of the screen.

Middle Amazon

Target: Peacock Bass

Other Fish: Black Piranha, Piranha Mattereri

Rod: Professional

Reel & Line: Heavy Bass

Lure: Super Bopper B

Temp: 78F

Objective A: Catch 8 Peacock Bass for half of the requirements to unlock the final level, Pantanal, South America.

Where to look: Just a hair to the right of center cast your line all the way back and bring it in slow to medium.

Pantanal, South America

Target: Golden Dorado

Other Fish: Black Piranha, Red Tail Catfish, Yellow Piranha, Payara

Rod: Expert

Reel & Line: Monster

Objective A: Catch a Golden Dorado.

I filled the last bit in with my experience of catching the Darado.

Anyway, Now that I've completed it about 100 years after it was released, I can stop being a saddo now (mainly cus' I was fishing with the rod and wearing a jacket with lures on whilst on the sofa)
