Well to post my own idea, im really happy that this game is coming out, i was scared that namco would indefinetely switch to 3d...which im not saying is bad, but i just love the 2d magic that any "Tales of..." can reproduce

I don't care for graphics that much. But I do like 2D. The characters are back to sprites but I can't tell with the backgrounds... it's either full 3D or pre-rendered (did I get that right? Is there a difference between the two?) ^^;;

In the official Tales of Symphonia website, people wre complaining about the character designs (I think. BTW, it's been a while since I logged on to the forums there. xD). What do you guys think of the character designs? I don't know too much about Mutsumi Inomata, but I really love (his? her? I don't know!!!) artwork. I especially like this game's artwork! Veigue looks very different compared to other Tales heroes, and I kind of like that! I remember some members in tales.namco.com saying that the colors are too bright and ugly or something... o.0? I don't really see any problem with the colors (I don't have fashion sense anyway, )

So, to make it short: How do you like the art??? Don't just say "like it" or "hate it"! (You're smart enough not to do that!)

This game looks pretty good... but I didn't see any screenshots of Claire in battle. What does she use for a weapon? Or does she get kidnapped?

The drawings look allright, and the characters' clothing has an interesting Asian/European-like style to it. I wouldn't say I was particularly enthralled by any character's appearance, except perhaps the cute critter toward the end. But it seems the best part of Tales games is the characterization and your people's personalities, not what they look like.

I honestly dont mind the 3d graphics as wwell but when i saw the beauty of the screens coming from this game i just couldnt stop thinking about how the "Tales of..." series just looks so damn gorgeous with namcos really artistic touch to its 2 dimensional graphics...

As for Claire, so far I know she's probably an NPC. xD I highly doubt she can fight in that dress... although I remember that a character named Tia in another RPG also wore a pretty dress and she is very strong (magic-wise)... xD But maybe there is something about Claire?

Not only that but the Tales series is pretty famous for having stuff hidden in the backgrounds or behind trees and such... xD

Oh yes i remember that, well Botan i know about that , but quite frankly at the beginning i thought breath of fire 4 had the best 2d graphics for an rpg, but then i saw screenshots of this, and if its anything like it in movement, then this has got my votes

I can't wait until ign gets a video of Tales of Rebirth! According to ign, Namco will be showing a video of ToR in the Tokyo Game Show! I can't wait to see this game in action!

Yeah me neither actually, im always eager when new rpgs are being planned so i cant wait to see anything (if anything is going to be shown, but i think its allready set)
