|
post here if you have completed the game.
i completed it and it was a great game to finish and there is so many scenes and so many choices that it takes maybe a few month's to see every scene of it, maybe even longer and you can see some behind the scene stuff and extra stuff that you can buy with bonus card's. it's a great story and good gameplay so i recoment it to anyone to buy this game in your house today ------------------- ![]()

When you get control of Markus, run into the room and answer the phone and when given the choice pick 'No Time'. Then as Markus go to the door where you'll get an icon to lock the door. Pick up then phone to talk to Lucas. Don't worry about escaping the police either, just play as them.

I've clocked the game as well, very enjoyable. Apparently there are multiple endings to see (I keep reading between 4-6) so it'll be interesting to go back and try to find them. The rooftop fight with the Oracle was incredible
If I had complaints about the story then I feel that the Clans, particularly the AI entities, weren't really explained enough. I'll play the game through again to see if I missed anything, but this aspect did strike me as being somewhat thin. Also, the relationship between Lucas and Carla is very sudden; perhaps it would have been better to build up their feelings towards each other throughout the game (there's a good opportunity for this when/if she questions him at the bank, for example). An interesting selection of extras as well, though I would have liked an in-depth commentary or behind the scenes movie; the 'documentaries' that are availible are very short, and don't really give you an insight into the game. The extra scenes were good though, if a little weird at times - seeing the Crash Test Dummy and the Nun dancing together in the car park, for example ![]() -------------------

quote RequiemI too think the Clans could have been better explained, not so much the Oracle but the faceless leaders we've seen only seen once. The Purple Clan could have used a lot more explaining, all I got was that they came about in the 80's and wanted to rule the world. That's it. Hopefully we'll get a sequel that better explains the Clans. Now I would have liked to have seen some chemistry between Carla and Lucas too at the bank, get the ball rolling so to speak. But since Tyler could also have questioned Kane that might have been a problem. But I wouldn't say it was a sudden romance. Remember Kane was living with Carla from 5th Feb to the 27th of Feb, that's time enough I think to talk, get to know each other even with Carla's long hours at work. Plus the whole world ending speeds things along. I loved the game, short as it was but it has replay value. But I'm sure it only has 3 true ending, though there are a couple of different ways to get each ending. It's got the best story I've seen in a game for a while and hurts the fingers in a good way. The bonus section was great, you can tell the team had a laugh making those. Here's hoping for a sequel, even if it does take a couple of years.

Lucas' speech in the epilogue (when he's gotten rid of both clans) certainly leaves a lot of room for a sequel. He says that he feels fate has other things in store for him, plus there's also the possibility of a story centering on his child. Though it would also be interesting (if a little impractical) to see if Quantic Dreams could utilise a story that changed depending on which ending your profile first received.
quote Crimson StarThis is true, and I remember the game does show a brief scene where Lucas awakes from a nightmare and Carla seems to comfort him. Still, it would have been nice to have us act out an event during this time to show the developing bond. I guess it's up to the players to use their imagination. By the way... Carla - necrophiliac? ![]() -------------------

quote RequiemThat would be good, but they would have to factor in Markus, Tyler, how the final battle played out. I think they'll just pick one ending and stick with that as the basis for the next game. Shame really. Lol! Well to be fair she didn't know, and it was -55 so she probably couldn't tell the difference. I'm sure he must have told her afterwards though... "Oh by the way Carla, the AI said I was dead, they just resusitated me" "WHAT!?!" I wonder if he can still age, or will he still look the same when Carla starts to look like Agatha? Scary thought.

I have gotten 3 endings so far. I just play the last chapter and do different things. All are equally excellent, although I like the depressing ones better

I have finished it with several different endings now, can someone give me basic run down of all the things you can do to affect the ending, such as not loosing the girl earleir in the game.

Well, you can get three different endings at the very ending segment. Let Lucas fail against the Orange Clan. Let Lucas beat the Oracle, but fail to the Purple Clan. Or let Lucas beat both of them and learn the secret from the girl.
Are there more than three? I am replaying the orphanage right now, to see if I lose her if anything different happens. EDIT: You can't lose her from everything that I have tried. The game ends with me dying. This message was edited by Vito Raliffe on Sep 25 2005.

You can loose her at the orphanage by handing her over to agatha, then you play the rest of the game without her up until the ending where you see her again at the military base, i think this opend up more endings.
