Length Complaints |

Am I the only who is annoyed by people talking about how short this game is? People, its longer than most old-skool games. This game seems very old-skool in spirit, due to it being short and simple. It also has that old-skool spirit in that its meant to be played MULTIPLE TIMES.
Why does everyone think when you beat a game you have to stop playing? I beat this game and haven't stopped playing it since. I personally prefer short games that I can just pick-up and play from time to time and enjoy, rather than some game that's long as hell that I just don't have the time or patience for. I commend Katamari Damacy for its short gameplay and great replayability. I still say this is by far the best game of 2004, no contest, and definitely one of the best games of all time. ------------------- <-|BlacK DawN KorporatioN 2009|->

Just how long is it? I've done three stages, all Make a Star, how many are there?
Also, what bonuses are there in the game? I know about the presents, but do you get good things from replaying stages and making bigger katamaris?

Yes, you can earn eternal versions of three of the stages:
Eternal 1 Build up the ball past 1m30cm before the time runs out in Make a Star 4. Eternal 2 Build up the ball past 25m before the time runs out in Make a Star 8. Eternal 3 Build up the ball past 800m before the time runs out in Make the Moon. There are 9 "Make a Star" stages, a "Make the Moon" stage and some constellation stages. I think there is about 7 costellation stages, not sure. This message was edited by Cheatsy Koopa on Dec 31 2004. ------------------- <-|BlacK DawN KorporatioN 2009|->

Eternal Stages let you play the stage without a time limit. So basically you just get to go wild rolling up anything and everything.

Oh I definitely agree with you! The main challenge of this game is to make the stars as BIG AS HUMANELY POSSIBLE!! It's great fun knowing that you beat your record! For instance, I felt great when I beat my first record of 650, and made it all the way to 820!! That's a huge leap!!
And don't forget the sheer satisfaction you get after rolling up buildings and hearing people frantically call for help on their cellphones ------------------- Grrr...

It's short, but the constant screaming of blocky-headed people when you roll them up is priceless. High replay value. Excels on so many levels it's not even funny... oh wait, yes it is.
