Controls? |
|
Alright, I just got this game, not playing any other resident evils, and how do I change the controls? I mean I get out of the jail and 10 zombies attack me and start eating me! I know what to do but I don't know how to control it. Someone please help me.
Any help would be kindly appreciated.

Button mashing can fight off their attacks and i can't remember which button is run but use that button to run and it'll be simple for an escape. Weave and dodge there attacks.

Yeah I find the controls to be annoying as hell. It's probably easier to use the directional buttons rather than the control stick.
As for the very beginning of the game, Claire is only equipped with a knife (if you picked it up), so anyone in their right mind would be getting the hell out of there instead of standing around and fight. -------------------

You could just fight them. Watch out for fat zombies. All OTHER ones can be easily taken down with one knife slash to the legs. Aim down. Then kill them violently once they're downed. (Or run past, but you will need to come back this way later on anyway)
Since you get autoaim, fighting is always easier than trying to run away, in terms of control. I THINK you can change the control setup if you press the Start button and look in the config menu. -------------------

By the way, though this is unusual, and in fact, I believe, unique for the entire Resident Evil series...
In Code Veronica, if you mash buttons fast enough you can push zombies off even before they hurt you AT ALL. And sometimes you can even shove them into a wall which hurts them. I once killed a zombie (finished it off after knifing it) while playing as Captain Wesker in the mercenaries mode. Hitting the wall seemed to break its back. Anyway, the damage finished it off and it died, leaving Wesker standing there going "WTF?!" -------------------

Yu can change the actual control system by pressing "Select" and changing them in the "Options" menu. If I recall correctly, there are three different control settings to choose from. I usually select "Type 2" because it's easier to use.
You'll have ahell of a time trying to use the directional buttons. It's not quite as fluid as using the analogue sticks and you'll end up getting bitten by alot of zombies because of it. -------------------
