Performance vs. Image quality and system specs |
|
What's everyone running for this game? and what kind of performance are you getting.
I've got everything turned on to high, using 1024x768 with 2X AA turned on. System specs: P4 2.0Ghz (old one with 400Mhz FSB) 256MB RDRAM The framerates are decent but I get a lot of thrashing when moving between areas and when first coming out of a load. Sometimes when a scripted event starts or an enemy leaps out the game gets really choppy as my hard drive chugs away... so essentially the enemy AI gets a few free swipes or shots at me while I sit and wait for the game to stop stuttering. ------------------- The further back you can look, the farther ahead you can see. <paraphrased> - Winston Churchill | |

Well the card is a 4200. But I don't think that's the problem. It likely has to do with the amount of memory I have and a slow HD.

I use a 2.6GHz AMD Athlon proccessor, 80GB Hard Drive, 64MB nVidia graphics card, errr.. a crappy keyboard and a decent mouse, a 1028 x 768 screen res and I left the settings on default and the screen refresh rate is 75hz and I get a bloody awsome performance
