Unreal2 Internal Failure in Setup - Unreal II

	I have WinXp, Service pack 1a. I want to install Unreal 2 but when the setup program loads up, after finishing and before sending me to the main installation screen, i recieve an error message saying: Internal Failure Error Number: 0x80040707 Description: (No Description) And thats it. Then i am able to install unreal but when i start the game in crashes at the opening intro and i cant play the geam. I have uninstalled it and have tried to reinstall it but i keep getting that error message. What does this mean and how can i fix this. By the way this is the only game where this happens, i have all the recent games, Halo, MaxPayne2, Tron2, CallofDuty and they all work fine. Please help...

	I have tried again anyway to install but it wont let me install the game, it just wont let me get past the drive selection for the install. When i chopose the destination drive then press next, it returns to the same window-asking for the destination to intall the game. What can i do since this only happens on this machine and not on one my older AMD machines?

	I am having the exact same problem installing survey software on a clients PC. I can install the software just fine on my PC(Win2k) but I get that error message when I try to install on her PC(WinXP). I have been scanning the web but there just doesn't seem to be a fix.

	i had same problem for unreal2 the awakening setup. this is a registry problem. i solved it. this is the solution link: [link name=]http://consumerdocs.installshield.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=Q108167&sliceId=1[/link] i had not a "Common Startup" in registry. just add this variable and setup is working now.
