Well by looking at movie clips and suff Unreal 2 looks VERY cool graphic wise and the one player looks a bundle but online wise its going to be hard for Unreal 2 to take the might fist of Half Life online but.. Go Unreal!

IMO it will be close I mean Half-Life is my favorite FPS ever, so I guess we'll see eventually.

Sure, it will be better. And it is not the first FPS that is better than half-life. Half-life was the the best when it first appeared and some people are still a bit emotional about it.

There is no doubt, this is possibley the best single player game I have ever played. It surpassed my expectations in everything, the storyline even kicks ass. So, in my opinion... Good bye Half Life, at least for offline anyways .

No way, half life is alot better than unreal II. Unreal's guns arnt that fun, and the stories lame 'your the only one left and u have to kill 1000000 enemies'

Its not that bad, I haven't played half life all the way through, but from the part I have played, Unreal 2 kicks it's butt . Las mission kinda dissapointed me though .

I think both are very immersive games. Half-life stringed me along until I could finish the game, Unreal (the first one) also did the same. Unreal II feels a little like Unreal I with updated graphics... they use the same tricks and scripted ideas (like noises behind doors etc) as number one.

I've only played a few levels on Unreal II though, and I intend to play more to see what I think in total. Now Half-Life II is also something to look forward to .

As an aside, I think Unreal I gives a more surrealistic experience than Unreal II, at least to begin with. Being stranded on the planet in Unreal I made it feel like a huge adventure. Unreal II feels more like an errand based game.

So, just because it's newer, it's better? Sorry, but as far as I've played Unreal 2, half life is still better, Unreal 2 is VERY good, but half life is a legend and well, half life was more tense then Unreal 2, since anything could happen at any time.
