I hate this game you can still play it but in my opinion I'd would instead play the secound of the series soul reaver it has better graphis and not a over head view!

Hey man, this game is old, and its a great game, sure loading is a pain but this game is a freaking masterpeice, the best out of the whole series. Nothing comes close to this one man. Soul Reaver 1 comes close but this the best one, period.

All of the legacy of kain games and soul reaver are great. Sure S.R. 1 had better graphics, but legacy of kain 1 had one hell of a better plot. My fav L.O.K. game is L.O.K. Defiance:cool:

I actually quite liked it. It had an admirable amount of movie sequences for its time, and the voice-acting was excellent. I don't really consider it that much of an RPG, but it certainly has some RPG elements. Sure, fans who jumped on the band-wagon with later titles in the series may not be able to appreciate Blood Omen as much as us fans who have played the series from the start, but that's their loss.

My introduction to the LoK series was the first Soul Reaver, but I still found Blood Omen an awesome game. It's still highly playable, still has some of the best voice-acting of any video game out there, and still has one of the best, most entertaining storylines of any game I've ever played.

I like it a whole lot for it's time. Well I just like it. They did a great job and I am just getting on board now. Played alot like final fantasy and such from the time but this one did go all out in a lot of areas. It is RPG from everything I see but it added arcade style fighting with97-98 graphics as they were. I like it alot as I am not so into the gore of the new graphics.

Nah, there is no way that you can even possible define this game as being bad. I totally agree in it being the best out of the series. of course, the fighting engine in the others, especially Defiance, is much better, but this game is a true classic. Many rpg's started with the overhead, third-person view, like diablo and diablo 2. And yeah, it's old, so the graphics and loading times won't be the best, but thats expected. Also, you can't even begin to compare the first blood omen to the second, or any of the other games in terms of gameplay because the differences are nearly polar in terms of genre. Of course, their all rpg-action type games, but comparing a third person view game to one that is second person is like comparing an fps to a second person shooter. It simply doesn't make sense.
