[feedback] HSBC ad pop in
|
While normally I don't mind the ads in the forum this one is getting on my nerves for multiple reasons. First off at the moment it seems to be the only ad I'm getting. Secondly it has an annoying pop in that has to be closed every single time. Thirdly it has an on roll over pop in as well so I have to navigate around it to get to my.neoforum. So because it is the only ad everytime I refresh it pops in again and again and again and I have to close it everytime. After only a few minutes of that it has become quite annoying.

Yes!
Pleeeeease kill this ad. HBSC Direct and Trane are highly obnoxious. They cover the screen with every page load, unheeded by no roll over. ------------------- ![]() I met my nemesis. With our blades, we spoke more than words ever could.

I second (or third) this notion. I don't mind the in-thread ads, but this one at the top is getting on my nerves, it scrolls down on it's own.

It should expand when we put our mouse over it. It's annoying when it just pops out of no where. Every freaking page and after every post.

I am running on IE and I am also having this issue with both the Trane and the HSBC ads.
Like everyone else, I understand the need for the ads, but not when they take up half my screen for no reason.

Can anyone take a screenshot of this? I haven't seen any "trane" ads at all, and the HSBC ad I see is a regular 728x90 with no popping or anything.
If you have the FF developer toolbar it would also help if you went to the toolbar's View Source > View Frame Source > leaderboard_forum.html source and paste it to this thread since I have to try to find out where this is coming from. ------------------- The further back you can look, the farther ahead you can see. <paraphrased> - Winston Churchill

This ad, I've only gotten once, and it was enough to make me hate it. I really hate this ad, and for some reason, I can't Ad Block it.

quote RedemptionHere is the Trane ad: ![]() Both Trane and HSBC pop out without provocation (no rollover). Even if I'm at the bottom and their header is at the top, it'll still jump out to cover half the screen. All HSBC and occasionally Trane is all I see. These things make neoseeker navigation very difficult/frustrating as they disable scrolling every time they "pop out" ------------------- ![]() I met my nemesis. Can you not crop the screen shots, link them externally? Its really annoying when they stretch the browser window
I seem to be getting the HSBC add on every single page too. out of about 20 pages/refreshes, only once did a different add pop up, but it hasnt expanded on me yet, it just stays the regular ad size, even if I mouse over it. I have AdBlock Pro installed on firefox, but disabled for neoseeker, but it may prevent it from expanding on me.. It does show up when I'm on internet explorer 7 though. ------------------- quote TurMoiL911

I started a thread in loungin over this very annoying ad.
It pops up on every page, and expands for no reason in particular. I hate it. -------------------
