After looking at the latest user reviews update, it made me think a little about how interesting it would be to see music user reviews around Neoseeker.

I'd just like to make the suggestion of maybe a user review section for band albums? And then maybe that band could have their own Neoseeker profile, just like a game would. I think it would be quite popular, and I reckon people would be interested in writing. I know I certainly would!

Music has become as popular as games to most people, and it's definitely something that would be read. I know there are reviews for new albums all over the place on websites, magazines, newspapers etc. but it's not very often that you would see a user review for a band's album, or for a band.

It would definitely appeal to me, and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one as you may have noticed the rise in activity over on the Music forum. It's just something I thought over for the last little while.

This would be godly. Considering I buy CDs pretty much every week, I'd love to see artists or albums having their own profiles. Yes please.

Pretty much said what I said. Everyone listens to music, and seeing profiles added to Neoseeker would be an interesting addition.

Just felt like bringing up Shane's idea for a musical hardware/instruments and accompanying profiles/reviews.

As I kind of went on a tangent there I think that something like this could work but would also mark the 'death' of the Music forum.

But that discussion could be moved over to threads for each band.

If you read the thread I linked it suggested having a forum per band/group as part of a music.neo project

Its a different idea but I thought it was worth mentioning (along with the music forum dying). This idea still has its merits and the band profiles could still exist but the "forum" link could be renamed "discuss" and link to the thread. Might be more work for the mod(s) though.

call me lethargic but i feel it's been active around the same capacity for the past seven years.. not that i don't agree with the whole database sentiment. i think it's an awesome idea.

because obviously film profiles marked the end of the movies/films forum.

it's one thing to have credible evidence and it's entirely something different to use your own bullshit whims to sound like you remotely have a clue.
