I was pretty appalled when I was walking into stores like Meijer and Best Buy and they were still charging %50 for Halo before Christmas. Now if someone went to Gamestop it was still for $30, but I think that's pretty damn messed up. Did anyone get sucked in for $50 or know if their parent's did? The stores I went to had managers looking pretty silly when I inquired about it. What do you think about that? Are certain stores still charging $50 for it or did you see any that didn't lower the price and that you may not have been aware of the price drop?

LMAO... well u know wut will would crack u guys all up! This is 100% real so don think I'm telling u a joke! Okay... It was before x-mas and I went to best buy to see if I can get a good deal for da game HALO!!! Anywayz... on this special display isle they had whole lot of copies of halo for 19.99!! (Thats the lowest I've ever seen!!!) Well... since that was a good price I decided to take it and walk to the next isle. I looked in the shooting game part of xbox and I found halo agen! This time it was a incredible price of 50 bux! WDF! Well... that special deal was gone the next day and halo became back to 30 bux in just about every store. Still... I think that was pret-tay funny!

Well, I bought mine like 3 weeks before the price drop. I had no idea about the price drop though :/

Anyway, yes I have seen a few stores still charging $50. I think it's outragous to go to the mall and see it selling for $50 and then walk alittle to the next store and find it for $30...

Over the holidays Circuit City had Halo bundled with the Xbox... So you got 3 free games with it, Tetris, Clone Wars and Halo. Actually, you had a choice between Halo and Midtown Madness, since Halo isn't appropriate for all age groups...

If you see it for over $30, you should ask to talk to the store manager and inform them that the publisher of the game has set the price lower than what they charge. They may not change it right away, but they'll at least look into it...

Actually, on the weekend of Black Friday (in November), Best Buy had Halo on sale for $15... they sure sold fast!

Really, Halo should have made it's way to Platinum Hits over a year ago, it's the fact that it still sells better than a lot of new games that they've kept it, and that's probably why stores are still trying to screw people over by ignoring the price drop...

I got milked for $50..... 2 years ago. EB has it down to $30 and so does Circuit City, but I think Wal-Mart still has it as $50.

I saw this too. But, the Halo boxes wern't Platinum. I guess the ones you see at the stores are trying to get rid of the ones they have now. Then they will sale the Platinum ones.

i bought my preowned copy of halo for $45, only to discover 2 weeks and 3 days later that it had dropped to $25 (where i had gone you can exchange within 14 days)

Are the platinum edition versions of Halo even out yet?

I got my edition of Halo 2 years ago for £45. Its still £40 these days aswell though.

Nope, Platinum editions are not out yet in America anyway... I got the Game of the Year edition though. The case is all shiny. I've seen several stores selling it for $25 now.

the walmart thats by me droped their price about 3 or 5 days after the price drop. heck, even before the price drop they had it at $45 or $40...

Once it goes platinum I'm thinking of buying another copy of it... My current copy is getting a bit old and I think it's about time to retire it... I've had it since November 2001, I'd most likely frame it or something like that.
