Oh, you can't even compare The Sims to Harvest Moon.

No, seriously, they're not even the same genre.

Harvest Moon is like a "Farming RPG" while The Sims, is more of a "Life Simulation (hence The Sims)"

Now Animal Crosing might be a bit more comparable to The Sims, although it may be a more "Fantasy Life Simulation."

But if you asked me for my opinion on which game is better. I'd say Harvest Moon. Why? Simply because they give it all to you up front, they don't make you pay thirty more dollars for a few more hours of gameplay. That, and Harvest Moon seems alot more balanced to me. In The Sims, to me it seems like you don't have a whole lot of time to do much of anything. While in Harvest Moon, you usually have all the time you need to get what you plan on getting done, done.

But that's mainly the thing about The Sims that irked me, the time issue.
