It's a shame because Breath of Fire II was one of the best games I ever played...Ryu and Nina were at their best in this installment! I also liked 3...

No, I couldn't get into it mysef. Maybe i was doing it wrong, but I kept dying on simple battles. The enemies did too much damage

BoFII is one of my all-time favorite games. Back when I was first getting into RPGs, I rented this and Lufia II from a movie rental store (back when you could actually rent SNES games from the place) and couldn't put it down. Eventually, I had to return it and didn't have enough money to rent it again, so I was unable to finish the game and by the time I did have enough money - they had already sold all of the SNES games since the wave of PSX games was coming in.

Later on, I was able to play it again on my computer and finish it; but I've still been unable to find the actual game. =/ I'd love to own it though.

Definitely one of the best SNES RPGs out there.

Without doubt one of the greatest games and my favorite in the BoF series.
Great characters, story & music.

I like using the Hero, Bow, Rand & Sten.

My favorite BoF games are: BoF 2, BoF 1, BoF 3 & BoF 4.
Haven´t played 5 yet but according to my brother, it was pretty bad.

Yeah I've never even heard of this tho I figured thered be a 2 since there was a III & IV. (BTW Dragon Quarter does suck.)

Although I didn't think it was a bad game, I didn't really like it as much as many of the other SNES rpg's. I got into it a bit more than Breath of Fire I, however.

Hehe, I never beat this game. I quit after the bad ending. Don't you just love those? Well, I didn't really want to quit after the bad ending. Throughout the whole game I didn't have any problems at all (well, I could've had MAJOR problems if I saved in Highfort, luckily I don't save anywhere if I'm not able to train and heal), but when I got to... Infinity, I believe, the game suddenly got a lot harder. I had to heal after every battle. I didn't feel like training, so I quit, started playing a new game, and forgot about it. I'll probably truly beat this game someday.

Even though I haven't beat it, it's still my favorite BoF game, with IV being a close second.

Thats ok,a few years back i beat this game and zelda 2 adventure of link.

Why wait so long? i got frustrated with the final boss,baribaty or how ever his name is spelled.

He is the harder than DeathEvn,wich is kinda strange.
Also those enemies that have death magic really bug me,especially when i went through all that work to get fusion done.

as BoF2 was one of my fave BoF games
i loved the character designs for this game, specially the fused characters, the skills,the story plot, everything in this game was simple but yet it rock'ed i almost cried when ran was about to die and his mother saved him from being splat to the wall, and the battle between ryu and ray XD god the memories haha
