Okay, so a few days ago I started up Seiken Densetsu 3 again. I made a new adventure with Kevin, Carlie, and Lize.

I had just gotten to Mirage Castle, and noticed that I was having a hard time killing some of the enemies, so I went to Pedan's inn to use some of my weapon/armor seeds. I got all of the final equips for Kevin and Carlie, but no mater how many seeds I used, I could not get the Giant's Spear or Wulfhezein for Lize. I ended up using 2 codes to get the Giant's Spear and the Wulfhezein, and saved.

Now when I went to use my Wind Drum to leave the place, it didn't work. Confused, I went to Mirage Palace by foot. When I got there, I fought I a few enemies and opened some of the gates. After a while, my HP started to wear down, so I tried to use Heal Light. It didn't work, and neither did any of my healing items.

I don't have any recent save states, just 2 from the beginning of the game. Whenever I restart the game I still can't use items or spells. I don't want to restart the whole game, what can I do to fix this?

What kind of codes? Gameshark has been known to foul up cartridge games. Built ins that use button sequence are a different matter. Problems there could be the result of corrosion within the cartridge or just be a sign that the battery is dying / dead.

I used PAR codes, and playing via emulator.

I am planning on importing the cartridge soon though. The game's pretty fun, and I'll be able to play with a friend.

EDIT: I can find the codes, if that would help somehow.
