when i save my game and turn the system off all my data gets erase. I just want to now is that suppose to happen?

Of course that's not supposed to happen, unless you turn the power on and off repeatedly. Do all 3 slots get erased, or just one of them?

You could always try beating the game in one sitting - considering it's not a very long game anyway.

I agree with DQ Maniac. You're game battery has died. There are batteries inside the game that hold this information. It's kind of like a watch battery or a CMOS battery (if you are into computers). What you need to do is replace the battery inside the SNES cart. Here's an article that might help you out:
