	before you even enter the room (you'll notice the blue drapes at the top on the right hand part of the screen) use shield or jump or neither. If using jump you can get over and around him when/if you get cornered. shield may help if you don't want to die so rapidly. but overall just jump at his head and swing the sword, you will hit him eventually and if you can stay away from his weapon you should be okay.
